Awesome. I found a Beach bottom box and love it. Any possibility of US availability?

You're not far from me @Shadowrulez! Maybe 1 1/2 hours or so. I just scored one from an auction. According to the sheet posted here it's the B97 box.

Agreed....it should be changed to "Was Back"

I keep posting here so that all the Beach stuff is all in one folder. Makes it much easier to find later.

For anyone still hoping to correspond with Beach, go back to my post #124.......they really are dead.

Beach is the best of the best. I have Beach boxes for over 50 years.
I bought a bunch ot machinist toolboxes at an estate sale. I sold the Kennedy and kept the Beach for myself.
When I graduated fro trade school, my Dad bought a Beach toolbox upper and lower for me.

Just picked up a really nice B89 yesterday for the tidy sum of $60. It will need a bit of love, but overall it's in really good shape! I grew up in Smiths Falls so it's nice to have a piece of history from my hometown.

Now I'll have to find a top cabinet to match it!

Good stuff! B-89's are not that common, most are missing a few drawers.

Good luck finding a good top box.......Kijiji is your friend.

Did any family members or friends work at Beach over the years?

Hi , can anyone please help me identify my dads old tool box , it’s a 9 draw which my mother believes to be about 47 years old , I’m sure it’s a beach but where my badging is missing it’s square not curved at the bottom like other beach badging , on this same post #61 u see on the bottom picture the badging is also square, and he’s says it is branded Sears , I haven’t found any square badging that’s says craftsman’s or remline out there , any help would be appreciated greatly , thanks

I have a few Beach boxes, some branded Beach, others Mastercraft. The construction is identical everywhere except the branding, and sometimes the louvers next to the badge. I have a Mastercraft box almost identical to yours and it has no badge or louvers. I have another Mastercraft-badged Beach and it has the shield-shape badge just like Beach, except it says Mastercraft. Then two others with normal Beach badges.

Point is, it's absolutely a Beach, even if it doesn't have the normal shield-shape badge. Beach made these for a lot of different brands. I've seen them labeled as Mastercraft, Gray, Craftsman (though they usually have black drawers), Mecanika, I think AC Delco even? Something like that anyway.

You've got a great box anyway. Spend an evening in the garage with some mild degreasers, a scrubbing brush, and some polish, and you'll have a nice box with a great history.

Sorry for the poor quality pics. Come across this a few days ago. I know Beach Industries made other things than toolboxes because i have one of their mailboxes, but this is new to me? Anyone seen another?

Doubly cool! Where did you get it? Any idea what the BM-8 stencil is for?

Made a call to the previous owner. BM-8 stands for building maintenance number eight. It came from an AGT (Alberta government telephones) building. Found a pic online that confirms it's missing one shelf as i suspected. I'll bend one up and put it in, also change all the drawers to full extension slides.

Here is the only link I have for the Beach work bench.

To answer your other question regarding top boxes for B-97's ....there is nothing special that I am aware of. People just added top boxes as in the picture.

I can only assume there was a typo in that ad? Probably $250, but still likely a steal. Wish I had seen it sooner, I'd have made the drive for that one!

Same box with Mastercraft tag was locally listed for $150. I have the same Beach box 25 years now

This is the biggest collection of Beach side boxes I've seen to date. Definately pie in the sky asking price.

Wow what the heck, 8 side cabinets combined? That is strange. I would love to have just one of those side cabinets to compliment my regular Beach stacks. 8 is just immoderate! As is the $25,000 price.

Just added a B-64 cantilever side box to my collection today, was on KIJIJI. The owner said he purchased it new in '82. First time ever I have found one for sale.

Cool. The only time I ever saw one for sale it was on an over priced box.

That is way cool. I've also only ever seen them tagged onto overpriced boxes on Kijiji. Nice score lilredex, it looks super clean
