Bought a sixer in NYC during the vacation and used the edge of a door hinge pin head in the hotel room to pop them off. Didn't want to buy something that the TSA might confiscate.

Always one on my keychain, garage has one of those plaques with little box to catch the caps....seems more like a dust catcher so I very well may go with removing the little box and mounting the opener right over the garbage can..... I rather take the 30% miss chance since most of my bottles are twist offs!

Hey all -

Went to a Christmas party last Saturday and got a pretty funny/cool bottle opener as a gift... so thought I would bring this thread out of retirement.

I scanned most of the pages and did not see where a .50 cal bottle opener was posted before!

UPDATE/CORRECTION: I see Cougar posted one in reply 568... Dang it! Oh well...

i have a cheap milwaukee opener, or a bic lighter, or the edge of a table, or a wall mounted opener with a lid catcher.

Love the tool related ones, killer! I deal with a gun vendor in Texas and their mascot is an armadillo, years back, since they have their own machine shop they started giving these bottle openers out as their business card with every purchase. They were a real big hit so every Christmas they started coming out with a Christmas edition, now they do them for all kinds of charity & gun related events (note the Chris Kyle one in red in the shape of TX) and they are highly sought after and collected. This was my collection before it out grew that holder, now it resides in my closet in a few Rubbermaid storage containers as I have several hundred now. Some of these fetch up and over $100 ea on the secondary market!

They are some good openers. Actually have mine on my keychain, going to try and score another at Shot Show in a couple weeks. This is the one I'm using in the house currently.97e26d3ba3984f54d60d3fc9b739965b.jpg

That looks cool, if you're into littering at high speed. :lol_hitti
We used to snap bottle caps off our fingers. I saw a guy at a party break a window once...:shocking:

That warn hook is hilarious. "Hey bud we're stuck, let's have a beer and think this through because we sure as hell didn't before we got into this mess"
