I got one like this from Twisted Spike Brewing Company in Oklahoma City:

It's a railroad spike that was heated and twisted, with the end modified into the opener, and stamped with their logo. They sell them at the brewery, or on line at their website.

The beers there are really good... worth a stop if you're ever in OKC.

Crappy pic, hard to tell. It's an old cast "Texaco" bottle opener. And yep, I mostly drink twist caps or have fifty tools at reach that will open a cap, but come on..some things are in the garage just because they're cool.

I make and sell these for fun. Work awesome and feel great in the hands. 3/16" carbon steel. This one is my first (and personal) one. It's a white sea bass, our local game.

I also have a bluefin tuna nearly ready, and I'll probably start on halibuts pretty soon.

I made some of these myself. Took a lot more than 5 minutes unfortunately. Also probably burned close to that much money in gas in my torch too.:lol_hitti

Pretty cool stuff Mr. Wonderful. I think I still have one or two of those spikes someplace. Maybe sometime when I have all the gear out I might give one a whirl. I usually end up in the heat of the battle getting things done so but the time I do I don't want to do anything else. lol

minor update

It looks like the red-handled opener on the left is made by the Turkish company İZELTAŞ and is part number 3013 56 4130. It is included in the 6-piece set with part number 8776 00 8706. If anyone knows how to get this in North America, please let us know!

I can't find any part number or set number for the Hilti opener. (I actually can't even find any other photos of it.)

I think the Hilti opener is an promo sample and does not have a part number.

You need this one to add to your collection. I have a few and give some to friends. It's a key to unlock electrical cabinets.

This is a fun thread.
A friend prides himself in that nothing stands between him and a capped bottle of beer. Typically he favors a piece of scrap wood. Virtually any hand tool imaginable he can employ for this noble duty as well. On a bet he's used a very tightly twisty piece of paper towel.
I have the wall mount kind like on the old soda machines but use random objects just as much.
