Similar to the bic lighter for those of us who only smoke if we are on fire.....

I use a screwdriver, pliers, whatever just like the lighter thing. Funny thing is that most of the time I can get caps off without bending them at all. Sometimes they will snap back on the bottle still liquid tight.

I was just thinking and remebering. I used an edge of something years ago, maybe on a pop (soda) bottle. It actually broke a small piece off the bottle and fell in. I ended up pitching the entire bottle and didn't drink it.

Just wanted throw this out there, wouldn't want somebody to drink a small sliver of glass.

When driving around in Africa in the Land Rover Defender, we measure the success on the number of beer tops in the foot wells (no driving & drinking) because the 4 door latches make great beer openers  when camping

Rgrds

I did the same thing with my VW campervan. :pimpflash

I have a simple bottle opener on my key chain. It is great because I always have one handy until I get pulled over. That may be hard to explain

Like everyone else I have amassed a $hit load of openers over the last 44 years. But these are my favorites!

Man, beer and garages, I love this site!! A buddy and me in grad school determined that anything with and opening of roughly 1/2 in to 3/4 in opening would work as an opener. When the hippies would come by with the fancy micro-brew beers, my favorite was always the latch to the tailgate. It was a cool trick, and my F150 worked great!! Door jam latches worked great too. Its funny though, cause some people try it backwards, end up with the bottle upside down and you get a beer scented car carpet!!!

You can take your Wedding Ring and put the bottom on the Pop Top and pull it off fairly easy... and it makes you look stronger than you smell~!!!!!!!:wtf::thumbup::beer:

P.S. - It has to be a Forward pushing motion... Trying to pull it back toward you will only peel the skin off your bony A** Finger~!!!!!!

An alternate reality in a parallel universe.
Heres another neat party trick. Use your eye socket to twist off the lid of a beer bottle. When He-man comes along and want to prove his manhood too, give him a Mexican beer bottle that doesn't have a twist off lid. The macho types can get rather stupid sometimes...

Then he grabs you by the neck, bends you over and uses you as a bottle opener! Great party trick, everyone watching you and your new 16 oz suppository....

I have 3 pairs of Reefs, so I'm rarely without an opener. In the garage, there's an old Coke opener with a cap catcher made from a 1966 911 Weber air cleaner snout.

Gotta love those videos...guys who think they're macho because they found 30 ways to open a twist-off. How about using a hand? Or would that mess up their manicures?
