I thought it would be nice to use my lift without plugging-in air, so I bought the optional Bendpak air bottle.

It is nice to see that it is no longer a pipe bomb looking apparatus. any tips or tricks on the install?

I'm curious to see how it works out for you.

I used to have mine plumbed into my big compressor. I now have a small 1 gal nailer compressor to feed the lift.

NitroShark - Although I did my own thing for the air bottle on my HD-9, the "final notes" at the bottom of this LINK might be of interest to you.

For the rest of you looking for a DIY solution to this, use the link below to see what I did. You don't need the dual bottle system like I did (I tend to overdo stuff!)

This link drops you into my thread at the bottle build

Here is what mine looks like installed:

I got everything installed today. One thing that is critical is –NO leaks. I found one Bendpak fitting that needed replaced. They are 6mm so remember that if anybody needs to replace theirs also.

The system works as advertise and as long as your system is leak free it should work out. I’m going to test more later on.

I did plug up the left over return port in the power supply with a filter. I also remounted the gage in the front of the column. This is where, later I’m relocating the electrical switch for a better view of the lift in action.

As the owner of a Challenger lift, what's the air for? Locks?
