So after months of trying to decide which lift I'm going to get in the pole barn, I think I've decided on the BendPak XPR-10ACX (for now). However, I've been reading some reviews that the asymmetrical lifts aren't very good for lifting heavy duty trucks?
To be honest, I'm to the point now were I've read so many reviews/threads on different lifts, that I just want to purchase one and get it done. The heaviest of vehicles I would ever lift would be a 1 ton, crew cab, dually diesel. Is there any reason why this lift wouldn't be able to accomplish this and more importantly, do it safely without the fear of a catastrophic failure? Keep in mind, I like to save money where I can, but I value my life over my pocketbook.
I'll be lifting anything from muscle cars, to classic trucks and all the way up to 1 ton diesel trucks. This isn't for my job, but more for my hobby/playtime. The lift won't be running every single day for 8 hours a day, but it probably will on weekends.
I know about the Mohawk System 1 lift and even filled out the application for more information on their website. However, I think my heart skipped a beat when I heard the price that I was quoted. Now, that lift it's not out of the question, but after reading some user reviews, I'm not so keen on spending that much money and having those problems.
I just want something that will work, keep me safe and I don't have to worry about it failing. So please experts, lend me your advice.
Thank you,
Kevin
