Lift arrived the other day. Installed it yesterday with a buddy. Went fairly smooth.
Got it running,,,tried both my car and his Corvette on it,,,,worked great,,,,
Have a few questions and some things I think i still need to "adjust"
1) Do you guys run some type of "vapor filter" for the lift,, ( i dont have the RF45 jack ),,, but for the safety lock portion of the lift,,, do I need to plumb something in ? If so, is this a generic thing i can get at lowes ? Homedepot ?
2) What is the "max" air pressure to run to the safety locks ? my compressor is up to 125 psi,,, that will "fire" the locks ok,,,but didnt know what the minimum i need so i dont over do it.
Things that i still need to do....are
- lube the sheaves with the zerc fitting
- adjust the cables ( there pretty close ),,, but dont think the lift if "synchronized" perfectly
- pull and reinstall the cross tube bolts,,to be sure nothing is hung up,,,i cant see any issues here,,,but read someone's post on how they chewed up a cable when the cable routed "over" the cross tube bolt
- spray/ lube the entire lift, pulleys, cables, etc
-
I bought the casters,,,very glad i did,,,,, I ended up "building" the lift in the middle of the garage and then we moved it into place...casters are very heavy duty.
I used dolleys to move the ramps around,,,and with my cherry picker,,,it wasnt too bad
I am going to install some mirrors on the wall in front of the lift,,,,this way i can see the ramps,,,and the side of the garage as i pull the car in,,,,it's a "tight" fit on the passenger side of the car,,,, figured some mirrors mounted up on the walls in front of the car,,,will let me see if i am going to run into something,,,,and make sure i get the tires where i want them on the ramps...
How hard is it to "synchronize" the lift ? How do i know where to start,,,,you can hear 4 distinct clicks as it goes up,,,they are all very close,,,one right after the other,,,but i would like them to be closer,,,, Synchronizing just involves the cables,,not the ladders ,,, correct ?
Thanks for the help,,,,comments......
