Has anyone physically seen both the Bendpak XPR-10ACX and the Dannmar D-10ACX? They both have the single piece columns and look pretty identical. The specs look almost identical. The Dannmar does NOT come certified. I wonder if it is a part of Bendpak and just rebadged. It is about $500 less for the Dannmar.
Someone has to know....:headscrat

Are they made by the same people with the same materials. Will the Dannmar pass the certification but will not go through the process just to keep their prices lower than Bendpak.
If they perform the same in all aspects (including weight limits), why would you want to pay the extra $500+ for a certification and the name.
I'm by no means bashing Bendpak. I will probably end up going with one. It just has me confused that these two lifts are damn near identical with the exception of the Name on them.

I've got the BP and have seen the Danmar. Though it may perform the same function, the BP is a beefier unit. You can see the difference by looking at picks of mine (or any BP) and gsport's. Not trashing the Danmar - gsport says it works fine and I believe him. Not sure of the weight limit, mines a 9K.
Also, not sure about DanMar's Customer Service. They sell through Costco and such....we all know BendPak will BendOver backwards to help you out! Been talked about many times here. Hope that helps.

the dannmar lift is only a 7,000 lb rated lift.. the BP is 9,000 i believe.... for the home hobbyist, either would be fine IMHO

I guess I need to get out there and find both lifts. Look them over, ask the owners what they like/dislike about their lifts, and go from there.
I will (more than likely) go with the Bendpak, but I just want to see if they are the same. Model numbers and the basic description are identical. This is going to go in my home garage and will be lifting F250/350s with diesels. Definitely not more than 10000 pounds.
Anybody use the XPR-10ACX or D-10ACX to lift their superduty?

I have the Danmar D-10ACX also. Here's a thread about mine if you're interested. After looking at that pdf of BP vs Rotary, with the exception of the BP's reinforced lift arm pin hole and the 3 stage front arms, they seem to be identical. I won't be lifting anything near 10k so I'm perfectly comfortable with it. FWIW, I just couldn't see spending ~$500 for, arguably, the same thing, something I'll never be putting 10k on.

I can take pics of anything on the lift that you want if that's helpful.

Certified vs non-certified holding 5,000lbs over my head...............I'm going with certified.

Plus I've seen that BP's customer service is top-notch.

hello just searching, does anyone know if Dannmar is in fact certified by ali? thank you

If you look on their website you can see all of the lifts they carry that are certified - almost all of the Dannmar lifts are ALI certified. As said above you can see on the ALI website.

The lift in question from the beginning is the brigadier 10ACX, which, i believe, has been ALI certified for a while now. You can find all the info you need about it here: Dannmar Brigadier 2-post lift page

It's actually certified vs. certified. honestly, i have used a dannmar and they are great. a lot of people here love both bendpak and dannmar. just ask a maxjax owner. a lot of people here have spoken great things about both companies.
