66Caprice probably gave you the best advise. It is likely that no manufacturer wants the liability of signing off on using a different rolling jack than what your lift was designed to work with. Go look at the drawings to see if it will fit. The most important dimensions are obviously the width of the rails or runways on your lift that the jack will ride on but every rolling jack I've ever seen is adjustable in that regard. But overall height can come in to play too, as can the height that the wheels or sliders are mounted at. So can the amount of jack that may hang down under the lift. That can cause the jack to hit the floor first and raise up as the runways touch down.
If you determine it does fit, you can go for it but the liability of doing so will rest solely on you. I say this as a guy who has a Challenger 3500# rolling jack next to the original Advantage 4500# rolling jack on my 9000# Advantage lift. The Challenger RJ fit on mine with very minor mods.
My motivation was the same as yours: I'm frugal and the Challenger RJ was a dang bargain after the price of adding another Advantage rolling jack had doubled in a little over 2 years. So far I'm very pleased with the smaller Challenger rolling jack. I don't need to lift any vehicles over its 3500# capacity and its shorter arms still easily reach any lifting points on our vehicles. I don't even mind the manual pump vs. the air pedal on my Advantage jack.
