I swear I've seen this ratchet before, possibly from Craftsman but I can't remember. Does anyone have one?
Yep, that's what I referring to. I swear I've seen one before, but I must be misremembering. I've checked a bunch of manufacturers and not a single one offers what I'm thinking of. Plenty of flex-head bent handle ratchets, but not a single fixed head ratchet. If you are referring to the type where the handle is slightly bent up maybe 30 degrees or so in one spot, I don't think I've seen a non-flex version of that style ratchet.
I think the original purpose was for spark plug access. I have a Wright without a flex head. I’ll take this opportunity to mention that the quality of the chrome plating is very poor and is flaking off. I had to wrap it in electrical tape to prevent cuts. I occasionally use it.I have no idea what the purpose of this is. They make them so someone must use them. Any ideas?

Hell yeah, I always knew that as a spark plug ratchet. Initially I kinda blew them off as it always looked unwieldy. However The SO dude came by with a deal with a Tshirt when they first came out with their comfort grip model so I said what the hell. Man I used that ratchet for EVERYTHING! Within a matter of months I had to get the head rebuilt because between that flex head and the bent handle I could get a socket on just about anything and everything, and I did too! That included plenty of stuff I probably should have grabbed a 1/2" for if not an air gun but with that long handle I could get it loose without having to stop and swap ratchets/sockets so I didn't. Suspension work, brakes that ratchet instantly became my favorite ratchet for just about everything besides ignition modules.![]()
