I will also vote for the black Craftsman hoses. Have three of them (2 - 100ft, 1 - 75ft.). They are still going strong with zero sign of breaking down. Replace the washers periodically, but it seems like this hose is going to last forever. At least longer than Sears will, thankfully Stanley is supposedly committed to backing Craftsman warranties.

$100?? Only on Griots. Where the actual ridiculous price is, in and of itself, a 'feature' of the product.

Ive found this to be the best- you dont have to 'adjust the spray' pattern each time you turn it on and off- set it, then use the handle to turn on and off.

And...I can buy FIVE for one Griots scam.

;)

That's internally the same as the Craftsman #69040 nozzle (which is a rebranded Bonaire Ultimate Hose Nozzle), it just doesn't have a shut off valve. I have (2) of them with no name garden hose ball valves. Total cost was under $20.00...

I have a Lowes never kink 5/8 100ft thats around 5-7 years old, it has blown out/split etc a few times, used unions to fix it, also had to change the male end,it has swelled/stretched that the repair fittings are little loose, our water press is reg at average 40psi, max is 60

It also do kink pretty easy,

I bought the 3/4 red NeverKink 3/4-in x 100-ft Contractor-Duty Kink Free Vinyl Coiled Hose. it was to large and the fitting id are the same as the 5/8. I took it back and got the black NeverKink 5/8-in x 100-ft Premium-Duty Kink Free Vinyl Coiled Hose, starting to regret it now after seeing the Eley hose, looks impressive.

i usually buy the heavy duty, contractor grade red rubber hoses at home depot, with a lifetime warranty- mfg is Swan Hose.

Had one go bad after 10 years or so if driving over it, out in the sun- outer casing broke down.

Contacted them- asked me to cut off both ends and take a picture of the two ends next to the damaged part of the hose. Same day I get an email with a shipping confirmation for a new hose.

Wow.

I get the hose and unfortunately it is a 'pro grade', but not the red rubber contractor lifetime hose. I send them a note, response in hours.

"Sorry for the mistake, we are reshipping the proper hose." and "You can donate that hose to a local animal shelter or Habitat for Humanity"

Double wow. Smart customer service...

I have a 75' green made in USA menards hose and its perfect, not super heavy, and I am on 4th season. I have a couple of the craftsman black rubber hoses, and yes they are heavy duty and very flexible,, but i hate using them because my hands are black after using them.

I Too like the Craftsman black hose, Very good quality! Made in USA. Replaced two in the last 30 years Easily, With the lifetime warranty. Too Bad the Craftsman Nozzles don't last more than a year or two. Oh I forgot the Nozzles are made in CHINA !
