Best answer so far..Mine is the only one I am allowed to work in. It is not the best by far, but it is mine.

Glad you think the same way I do...I hope to have make an actual thread about my garage next year, been years in the making. Once I'm done redoing my parents' new house I'll finish up and do a thread on mine...should be fun.

FWIW, I seem to be trying to build on a moving target after seeing so many cool ideas on this forum.

There were quite of few outstanding garages and members added to the GJ family in 2010! :)

What a great forum we have where all can share their creativity, ideas and innovations. It's hard to personally judge which are the "Best of 2010" because each garage along with their purpose is as different as their owners. Some build/create garages out of necessity, others out of passion and even some out of just pure obsession.

My top 5 in no particular order are:

MOTODAVID2000 - Who needs a house with a garage like that. Excellent presentation value.

OHIO AUTO - Large, light, bright and well organized. Would be a pleasure to work in.

XcYZ - nice use of space, very user friendly, the Camero compliments the garage or is it vice versa?

CJCRAZY8 - Who wouldn't want an old firehouse? Can't wait to see more updates.

BB767's Restored 1930's Shop - Perfect for us nostalgia buffs!

I have to say that in a period where my own project has come to a grinding halt (because of lack of time) I keep going back to...

Finishing my garage - love the soffits, bright red paint and uncluttered workspace
Le Porsche garage - love the posters, memorabilia and the clean look
Arts and crafts garage - love the roof/trusses
Jack Olsons place - love Jacks ability to turn undesirable stuff into gold

There are too many great ones to choose from. I really love Jack's, Nimrod's, Kiwi Kev's,Old Car Guy's, and a few others, but one I really like is Vicegrip's garage. It is just a small packed to the max two car garage that is functional and it gets used.

Unfortunately I can't find the link to the pictures of his.

I wouldn't even know how to choose!Don't remember who that was though.EDIT: Just found it. motodavid2000. Other being The Hot Rod Grille. Very tough choice for me.

Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning my garage space among all of the many fantastic garages here on GJ. I wish that this site existed prior to the construction of my garage, as I would have had some additional ideas to incorporate.

A prior poster noted that it is very tough to compare garages. Very true indeed given the very different purposes and space limitations of the garages. In any case, thanks again for even mentioning my garage in the "Best of 2010" thread - much appreciated!

For Best in 2010 I would argue that the garage should have either had the majority of the construction done, or a major overhaul done during 2010. There have been some amazing builds listed (like the M House or Jay's Fab Shop), but they were done prior to 2010.

My vote would be for for KYGTP's brick garage - it's large, took lots of planning, and he has gone to the extra effort on all of the details. (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=72023)

I also really enjoyed seeing the details going into 993James993's Arts & Crafts style garage (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54654)

Although BB767's 1930's Garage was actually restored several years ago, I'd still include his with as much work that he is still putting into it, and the fact that he first started posting in late December 2009, yet his thread has over 2300 posts so far! (http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51567)

Wow, what an honor to be mentioned in this thread for one of the best in 2010!! Thanks guys!! I some how missed this thread until this morning and when I started to read though it I could not beleive I was one.

But I must say, there are too many great garages on here to just pic one, I love seeing them all and all the different ideas everyone comes up with. I am SO glad I found GJ, THANKS TO EVERYONE for sharing so much information on this site.

My two favorites are :
Thomas 1930 Shop for a large space .
89Vert's for a smaller garage .

Both are great examples of ingenuity and craftsmanship .

Thanks for the nominations guys. I will try to do better to update my posts. Should get internet at the house this weekend. Hopefully it will be a much better contender for the 2011 garage of the year, haha.
My votes are for Jack, the 70yr old couple barn, and XcYz (I wish I could keep a space that clean)
