Well you guys said they were good so I ended up getting these, thought deep would be more versatile for my needs. With an extra 10% off and another 10 dollars off with Mperks at Meijer these were only 30 bucks.

Look into sunex... Its the same as Matco adv and Matco will warranty them so you don't have to send them out if you have a tool guy at work! I love mine and I've only had 1 issue in the past 3 yrs and that was my 3/8s 3/8 12pt rounded out

My vote would be for grey pneumatic. I have just upgraded all my 3\8" stuff to the duo sockets and really like them so far. The ratchet is pretty good quality too

I have had my HF sets for about 10 years and never had a problem with them. I feel dollar for dollar they are the best value.

Awesome. I think you'll like them I wish I would've seen those before I got the pittsburghs.

Agree. In my view, impact sockets are a consumable item (like small twist drills, etc.); and not like hand tools. Sometimes, I "destroy" them machining the wall thickness to gain access to a fastener. No problem.

I'd use them up, throw them in the scrap pile, and buy another set for $25.

Yes. People dont realize that Impact sockets are consumables. I think with the 20% coupon its $20 for the set.

Destroy them? bring them back to HF and theyll give you a new one. :rocker:

I have both GP and Sunex and I am equally happy with both. Sunex sockets are about 5%-10% shorter but they are embossed.

I bought the craftsman shallow metric ones 2 years ago. They aren't USA made but they are great sockets. I mean just look how big the stamping is. Very nice to read5b0344d70798d9827c8e1544ad846220.jpg

For deep I use a combination of some snap on and mostly sunex. The sunex are great but my only gripe is the small stamping

OK, so next question. Impact Hex Sockets, another guy at work has Grey pneumatic and they are really nice, I can get Blackhawk ones at discount through work though and payroll deducted. Is there a big difference there or are they both good?

I have a combination of gearwrench, sunex and hf for impact hex, they have a performed equally as nice. One issue i twisted off a 5mm 3/8'' gearwrench. If i were to buy one brand it would be sunex.

All of the above. I think it's pretty hard to find a "bad" set of impact sockets in 2015.
Personally I have Tekton with a few Gearwrenches that they didn't come with.13-14-15 deep in 1/4. No Problem

Both good. Black hawk is one of the most underrated tools. Nice USA sockets etc
