7510's a Diesel...ah, got it. That is another whole can of worms! So you got to be a farmer and a mechanic...and a jack of all trades...LOL! Totally respect what you do and thanks for sharing your trials here on the GJ.
Nice of that parts man to check that out for you lol

I loved my wingman...until I lost it. Now I have a Rev (pretty much the same thing) and carry it everyday (just like I did for the wingman). I can never go back to my Snap-on kershaw or anything b/c a leatherman is just so handy. Although I was shocked how high the prices were in Farm & Fleet over break -- I remember buying them for like half as much in high school

I think you secretly like working on this stuff. I know I like seeing these little bits and pieces coming together to get a machine back up to snuff.
Can you fit that large plate in a blast cabinet, or are you going to have to wirewheel it?
Have your heard anything more from the Macnaught people? Love the fluid cart.
Finally an area of my expertise lolI’ve been wanting a Leatherman for quite sometime I’d just never get one. Plus I don’t think any store in town carries them.
I still like to have a regular ole pocket knife for certain things so I like to have both. But knives definitely aren’t cheap. Not for a decent made one anyway.
Same for binoculars I discovered....
I don’t mind servicing stuff. Doing the regular routine checks on stuff. But something like this issue with the 7510 I don’t enjoy. That stuff drives me crazy. The main thing is just trying to avoid break downs. Cuz those I really don’t enjoy! My patience wears thin when it’s something that could’ve easily been avoided had things been looked at earlier.
My b-i-l has a cabinet that I think the plate could fit in. But if I had to guess we’ll probably just take a wire wheel to it. Might be a little quicker. Plus, If we get too carried away with it it’d be the cleanest looking part on the tractor.
Update coming soon
Once you get a solid PM schedule, Then do the impossible and make everyone that touches that equipment do basic checks, things still breakdown an operators still trash stuff, but it does become far more manageable. im responsible for 1/4 mile long line of equipment in a sawmill, and until i got the preventive, predictive and inspection stuff figured out everything was a mad scramble. you definitely seem to have a pretty good handle on things
I've really enjoyed reading thru this thread. Thank you for taking us along.

Sorry to hear about the cattle losses. Offsets some of the new![]()

Man I don't know how you keep everything straight, you have so much equipment and so many things going on every day. Good on you my friend. Thanks for all that you are doing.
As always, thank you for sharing your day to day with us.
We really appreciate it and I'm sure it sometimes feels like posting is another rock in the backpack that you have to swim across life's raging river.
Easiest way is to drill and tap the stuck case for 1/4 x 20, use all thread 1/4 x 20 with nut and washer and deep socket over stuck case. Thread in all thread into case, deep socket over all thread on top of die, washer then nut, then tighten nut which pulls out stuck case.

Surprised you managed to get some fertilizer down as wet as it has been. Some have been using helicopter for wheat, yeah it's that wet and more coming.
Hurts to loose cattle like that, hope the rest of the year goes better.
