Is this a commonly used thing on a jigsaw?

Looking at the two of the newer Bosch 18V jigsaws and I can't figure why they gave bevel to one but not the other.

I guess it depends on what you are doing. I seldom ( if ever) use the bevel option on a jig saw. when I'm scribing countertops I hold the jig saw at a bevel , but can't recall ever adjusting the saw bevel from 90°

I used the bevel on my Bosch jig saw the other day. First time in the 5 years I have owned it!

My Bosch plug in has been getting a workout and I did use the 45* bevel on both sides (!) this week to match the bottom of a panel to a steel bracket I made. This 20+ year old saw has the allen key and positive stops bevel setup built in.IMG_8408.JPEG

I have not owned a Jig Saw for over 50 years, my old Black & Decker Saber saw has an adjustable base shoe so that it can make a bevel cut.
