I just installed a big max 50000 Friday. Put nest thermostat on so I can adjust the temp before I go out the shed. Two times now I have noticed that when I go out and check the nest says heating but the heater isn’t running the led on the heater is flashing slow I think that means normal operation but no call for heat. I had the heat set to 55 and it was down to 40-42. If I turn the breaker off and on the heater starts up and runs fine. Any ideas thanks

Just to make sure it isn't anything funny with the thermostat, do you have a Common ("C") terminal connected on the Nest?

Yes c to c , w to w, r to r, and g to g

Did you look at the troubleshooting codes to confirm the blinking?

If it says the heater is in normal operation, when this is happening, you could unplug the nest and cross the W and R signals to manually trigger a heat call.

Slow flash no call for heat. Need to double check thermostat setup. Thermostat set to off has a minimum temp 40° this is built in.

It’s like the nest is coming up to temp the first time and not after but saying on the display it’s heating. I chatted with Google support she said maybe the voltage was too high coming from the heater she wasn’t very helpfull. When the heater is powered up but not running and the nest calling for heat there’s 26.9 volts between the r and all three other screws on the heater. I hooked up the old cheap Mr heater thermostat when the heater running there’s voltage between the r and c, g but zero to w.

Sounds correct.

If it runs with the cheap factory stat, it is fairly obvious the Nest doesn't play nice with the heater for some reason. As for the voltage, the 26.9 Volts doesn't concern me. I often found HVAC equipment that ran at 26 volts.
