Look like a knock-off of the Tuff-Seal brand tiles, with some differences...but 1/2 the price. I like how it overlaps to help with spills.

I contacted them for a sample, as well. Hopefully someone will chime in that has used this product. Looks fine to me, but appearences can be deceiving.

I just got a reply from yesterday. They insist on requesting via phone call AND they want $9 just to ship the sample. That's rediculous IMO.

I would say it sounds like they dont want to sell alot of product . A product such as this is a BIG decision and I wouldnt want to base mine on pretty pictures I would want a piece of it in my hot little hands pictures dont give a true feel of quality.

I have their "rubber floor tiles" in use for 1 year. They are made from a PVC type material as far as I can tell and made in china. I purchased 10 tiles from them to do a test before I installed in my 1000 sq ft garage. They did not offer a edge ramp. The tiles are only 1/4 thick so it is not a must have. I ended up using a alum. trim strip at the garage door.

In direct sun the tiles do expand and I get a 1/2 rise in the tiles. This only happens if I leave the garage door open in the summer for a hour of so. A floor jack will leave a depression where the wheels sit but it comes back to flat in a few mininutes with no damage yet.

If you don't seal them with a anti graffeti coating such as www.andek.com/H POLAGARD AG.htm tires and solvent can stain them. My grey samples did tire stain the blue did not. The coating gives a high gloss finish and is durable. I think the coating is a must if using any pvc tile.

Do you have any pics we can see?

These are the only pictures I could find of the flooring. They are small but this is the largest size I could upload. The cement floor was in poor shape with lots of cracks and poor finish work, so not a good canidate for epoxy.
This is a working garage with some tig welding, grinding and lots of wrenching. One reason I decided on this type of flooring is that it is quiet to walk on. The hard plastic tiles in my last garage made a clack clack noise when you walked on them.

What do they have to do before you stop buying stuff from them? Does someone you love have to die? How bad does our economy need to get before you realize that your paycheck comes from your fellow American workers who are counting on their paycheck?

What do you think that the Chinese are doing with the money?

Our economy is taking a dive right now because people are so self-centered that they think it's more important to buy 'cheap' instead of supporting their fellow Americans. We buy cheap goods from the Chinese and factories go out of business. The workers lose their jobs and the electricians, plumbers, contractors, and other support companies lose work. When all of these people transition down it drives everyone down one level eventually. (I got a perfect score in Economics in college). So, we go to the stores screaming, "Me... Me... Me..." while we are slowly cutting our own throats.

We all know that I'm going to be a proponent of polymer flooring in the garage. However, not in this thread. If you are here it's because you are considering tiles. I hope you will take a minute a consider buying a quality American made product from Racedeck... who frequents the forums you spend time in... who supports American workers that spend money on the products and services that eventually filters into your pockets!

Villion2000- The perforated flooring that they have listed looks just like the stuff we use at the Sears store I work at. They are used under bulk stacks of merchandise as well as under the lawn and garden and excercize equipment. What we use seems to be very sturdy but slides around easily without weight on it. I also don't know if what we use is rated for garage use or not.

Wolverine - Thanks for the kind words and I love you rant ( and agree).
I always find it amusing when I watch the news and they are interviewing someone who just got laid off at the local plant or says we need to increases wages here in the USA, while at the same time they shop at Walmart to buy products made overseas by workers who make $3.00 to $10.00 a day. :lol_hitti

I employ over 140 people in a 100,000+ sq ft plant here in SLC, USA ( along with 400 or so dealers and resellers worldwide) and I am proud of the fact that we have learned to adapt and create technologies / effeciency's that have enabled us to be extremely competitive in today's global market.

.

It's a sad testament to the self-centered nature of our society. I have friends that hold to that same mentality: "I can't afford to buy a [insert item here] that's not made in China."
My answer is usually "Then do without and save until you can." Sometimes it's "Would you still buy it if it was made in Iraq?"

A garage floor is a perfect example... if someone can afford $200 for a chinese floor, they should put the $200 in the bank and add $20 to it every payday until they have enough to buy a floor that doesn't come from an oppressive, torturous government. All they'll have to do is work on the concrete for a couple more months... is that really asking too much?

Now for me, this isn't about patriotism and buying American and supporting the American worker (that's all still very important) as much as it is about NOT supporting inhumane, oppressive countries. I buy US whenever I can, but I don't have a problem buying Canadian, most European or Japanese when American is not an option.

If you want to make the world a better place, if you want to fight terrorism, DON'T shop at Wal-Mart, DON'T buy Nikes, DON'T buy diamonds. DON'T buy anything made in China, Malaysia, or any other nation that allows its companies to conduct business in a sweatshop manner.

Remember, every dime counts, every transaction makes a difference. Before you hand the cashier your credit card, give some thought to where that money is going and consider for a moment how much it would hurt you to put off the purchase of that Chinese item until you had enough money to buy something better - better quality for you, a better future for your children, and better for the world as a whole.

uhhh.... Ohhh... Encouragement... lol

I love it guys... fellow Patriots... We're a dying breed. Let's face it, the reason the economy is in the tank is because Americans are too self-centered to think beyond themselves. You see, you don't have to think about where the money is going if the world revolves around you. In fact, you don't have to look in the rear-view mirror either... You can just truck right along in the left hand lane doing 10 miles under the limit with 2 miles of cars behind you.

If more people bought American made goods... more Americans would have it good.

Now for me, this isn't about patriotism and buying American and supporting the American worker (that's all still very important) as much as it is about NOT supporting inhumane, oppressive countries.
Many men gave their lives in World War II. They didn't necesarily do it because they were patriots... many just did it because it was what was right. However, sometimes doing what is right makes you a patriot. You sound like a patriot to me.

Let's face it... a big part of the reason that we won World War II was because we had a superior supply chain. Our men went to war and our women manned the factories. What are we going to do when we don't have any more factories? What are we going to do if we have to go to war with China?

I hope that you guys will consider how your money affects us all. I like to find a good bargin... but value counts too.

My garage is getting a new floor this spring, and I don't care if it DOES cost more, I'm contacting that knowledgeable fellow down in Spartanburg and buying a quality product made here in the US of A..........

China already cost me enough on my garage redo when they started buying up all the scrap steel they could get their grubby little mits on, and bumped steel prices up to the point my stainless steel for my workbench tops cost almost exactly DOUBLE what it would have had I started this project two years ago.

I'll be damned if I'll buy anything from them just because it is "less expensive"!

Its sad but generally you get what you pay for. Your garage is not the most friendly of environments... but it can be an amazing room to live in. Just remember most people won't blink at $5 /sq-ft for hardwood in a kitchen (plus install). Doesn't your garage deserve the same treatment?

All this because we have become a nation of "consumers" instead of "producers." We have become experts in the US in the distribution, warehousing and consumption of goods but have gotten away from producing the goods we use everyday. Good luck on your floor.

Heres the link. Just wondering if anyone has had experience with this product. Price seems to be great. I've got about 650 square feet to cover so I should be around $1200 to finish my dream garage project. Looking forward to some input. Thanks.....

This is really what I needed to know. I was really hoping (nor would I have dreamed) that this post wouldnt have turned into something so politcally driven. If some of you feel that China is the enemy, then so be it. Fox News has Forums you can go post in. I am simply looking for input on this floor.

Almost all clothing sold in the USA is imported from countries like China, Tiawan. The same is true for most electronics (flat screen TVs, LCDs, computers, iPods, etc etc )...again pretty well all manufactured in China, Tiawan, Japan, Korea, etc. Pretty well ever large USA software/tech company has extensive operations in India. The IRS sends USA tax returns to India for processing. Many company call centers/support centers are located in third world countries. Many of the new/cheaper after market car parts (ie. rods, pistons, cranks, etc.) are made in China. I shop at walmart and I buy goods that were made in China, Korea, Tiawan, etc. I think it is hypocritical to say buy USA made flooring when almost every one of us buys many other goods and services that are not USA made.

You WON'T find a bunch of cheap foreign **** at my house. And, if you ever see me at Wal-Mart you better get out of there quick because I'm there to ROB IT!

Don't you guys understand that this is why you are paying so much at the gas pump? It makes no difference if you are buying clothing, cars, or diapers... When you buy stuff from foreign companies it increases the trade deficit. As the trade deficit grows, the dollar becomes weaker. Now, here is the kicker... Oil has been traded in US dollars for... well... forever... until about 3 weeks ago. So, the French paid for crude oil with US Dollars. The Japaneese... the Chineese... the Vietnameese.... Europeans... Canadians... Mexicans... EVERYONE paid for crude oil with US dollars. 3 weeks ago Iran (the 2nd largest exporter next to Saudi Arabia) stopped accepting US dollars. Now, other countries are folloring suit. Japan was the first customer to purchase crude oil with the Yen. What do you think is going to happen when those countries no longer need reserves of US dollars to buy oil?

As the trade deficit climbs and the value of your dollar weakens, the price of oil appears to go up because your dollar is only worth half as much as it used to be. This is the simple law of: What comes around goes around... or... You reap what you sow. Sometimes it takes a long time to come back around. But, we are getting killed at the gas pumps because Americans have been too self-centered to condsider the real cost of the cheap goods they by at Wal-Mart... their... 'needs'. Most importantly, I just don't know how anyone can have any self respect when they see that the cheap foreign goods they buy are costing their friends and neighbors their jobs. I guess money just isn't so important to me that I have to have 'cheap' even if it costs my fellow Americans their livelihoods. There are some good points made that I quoted... MANY things are made in other countries. BUT... when you do have the opportunity to purchase something made in America... isn't that all the MORE reason to buy the American made product. Maybe you can offset that iPod, flatscree, clothes, or computer that you didn't have a choice on... :headscrat

So, anyone who would rather give their money to the Commies... Go ahead.... you are going to reap what you sow!

*** You may be reading this and have never considered this. I hope that is the case. Anyone can make the choice to do what is best for their own community. I haven't been to a Wal-Mart in who knows how long... I don't need it. I don't need to support a company that is unscrupulous and treats their emplyees the way they do. Most importantly, you ALL know that the more foreign goods you buy the less American manufacturing jobs their are here. Just because you have not lost YOUR job YET doesn't mean that it won't affect you one day. Every high paying job that goes overseas is replaced by a lower paying job. As the higher paying jobs are reduced there is more competition for the higher paying jobs. As people in those jobs are bumped... they compete for jobs in the next lower paying tier of jobs... and the cycle continues until someone pushes you out of your job into a lower paying job. This is our reality and you CAN do something about it. You can start by purchasing products from American companies that are MADE in America. The more expensive the better...

* Man, you've really got to be careful getting me going about this. I'm educated and passionate about it.... and... I'm a Patriot! Our forefathers would turn in their graves if they knew were were selling out our own countrymen so we could save a few bucks!
