This question relates to all bit sockets, hex, torx, etc and is not brand dependent... where do you get replacement bits for bit sockets? Do you just use any bit from the hardware store, or are there a certain style you should use? Obviously there will be quality differences, but I am referring to the style/design of the bit.
I have bit sockets from Craftsman, Gearwrench, Genius, OEMTools and ATD mostly. Some of them have a retaining screw, but most are the press in, where the broken bit would be punched or pulled out and a new one hammered in. I mentioned the styles I have only to give perspective on the question.
