Was at the Mundelein Home Depot at 6:30 AM and got what I wanted - six of the $2.50 LED Christmas lights and 30 AA and AAA batteries for $10.

They had plenty of the Milwaukee hole saws and Werner ladders available.

Was that $99 price in the Sears flyer? Or was it an online price you saw earlier but is now removed?

Its in all of the sales fliers. Here's one from toolguyd.

So far I can't get Sears to honor the $99.99 price on the 30" Gladiator wall storage unit. Comes up as $159.99. It's the ONE thing I wanted - two of them actually - and the only item I've found that doesn't come up at the advertised price. Online "Chat" with Sears says available in store only. Bummer.
Same here. It's the only thing that I was planning on buying today. I was probably going to pick up 4 or 6 of them. Not at $159 a piece though. No where does it say "in store only" either.

I showed up at Lowes this morning at around 8am and I was shocked how deserted it was. ALL the BF items were plentiful, only 1 Dewalt drills taken, etc.

I didn't get up early but all i wanted was the 20 piece GW set but I could only do it online if i had it shipped they wouldn't let me do instore pickup. So since there was no one on the road going to work this morning I was able to get here early enough to have time to shoot over to the local sears and pick up my set and still get back to work with 10 minutes to spare lol. Im happy I got what I wanted.

I stopped by Lowe's about 10. Not very busy. I got one of the Stanley LED spotlights that are half price as well as one of the also about half price 3d cell Maglights.

I already have one of the Stanley lights and use it all the time, especialy for detailing...so I wanted an extra for the day I drop mine for the last time.

There was another customer at the Maglight display and he must have had 20 in his cart!

The 30" double door version is the one that's advertised for $99. It comes up for $159 on the website.

EDIT: This is the bigger one. The smaller one usually does go onsale for $99 though too.

http://bfads.net/Sears-Black-Friday-Gladiator-30-Wall-GearBox

Hmm..went back and double checked. When I looked last night I thought the same thing, but then I found the smaller one for $99 so I figured I was looking at the wrong cabinet. But it is indeed the 30" that's advertised and it's $159 on the site. Maybe they put the wrong size in the ad or they priced the wrong one on the website.

On the Sears 30" cabinets. The online chat person said the flyer price is good for that store but not online. You have to buy in person at this price, they will not do it online at $99. I tried with 2 different chat persons. Seems crazy to me as most would be willing to pick it up. The same store would still be selling it.

I bet they have been swamped online of folks trying to get it at $99.

The Stanley rechargeable LED is awesome... it's basically the same brightness and beam pattern when adjusted as the 3D LED Maglite, and its rechargeable and dimmable. Great purchase!

I didn't see that mentioned anywhere in any of the fliers I've seen.

I had the wife order 4 of the 30" gladiator cabinets for $99 each. They are out at our sears but will honor the price if you go in and order it. I paid $79 each for 3 of them a few years back, they are solid units and can store a ton of stuff.

Just got back from Home Depot. Went in around 7:15 AM. It was pretty empty. I think I got the last hole saw kit. I think one of the best deals they have is the Irwin clamps. They have a set of 4 6" quick clamps for $13.88. I got 3 sets. At $3.50 a clamp that is a deal in my opinion. They also have an 8 piece set for $25.00 but that set was less useful for what I do. Also picked up a shockwave impact 22 piece driver kit for $9.98. Overall happy with what I was able to get.
Steve
Are these the clamps?

I find these kind of clamps very handy and own some of the larger Irwins which seem to be well made.

I went to Lowe's about 11:30, to get a sheet of plywood and some shelf brackets to put some more shelves in my garage. I still was able to get the 6 ft ladder, although I think the one I bought was one of the last two in the store. Saw a employee carrying two out from somewhere in back, asked if they were for sale and he said yes, here you go. So it worked out good for me. They still had a lot of the flashlights and other small tool ****. A lot of the work platforms still, too.

I will put the ladder to use putting up my shelves! Although I already have a cheap alum 6 ft ladder, the fiberglass is nicer. Goes with my heavy duty FG 8 footer that is my real working ladder.

Not bad for the four smaller sizes. Looks like the SAE is 3/8, 7/16, 1/2 & 9/16.

My wife and I each had one of the "5 dollars off anything" cards they mail out once in a while. I used mine for the SAE set for $4.99 and she was kind enough to use hers to get the metric. Awesome deal!

Leatherman Freestyle CX for $16 + S&H, which is $5 for up to 3X.

I so don't need that Leatherman, but I've wanted a knife in 154CM since the time ONE guy was making them, Randall I think.

This BF/CM weekend is making me nuts, buying deals on stuff I don't really need instead of stuff I actually sort of need that isn't on sale.

In addition to what I bought my girlfriend picked up my Christmas gift since the apple store was having a black Friday sale. Hurray for a new iPad 2. She even let me have it today. I can't wait to use this thing to run the Yamaha LS9-32 at church and other useful things with it.

Well I just got back from Lowes. I picked up the Werner ladder I ordered online for $19. They screwed up and gave my ladder to somone else and didn't have anymore of the cheap ladders to give me. So the gave me the better 6' blue type I ladder for $19. The type I ladder sells for $78. I ended making out pretty good. I also picked up two mini-maglites while I was there I couldn't pass that deal up either.

I was never interested in the Freestyle, but ended up ordering 3! One for myself, two for maybe gifts or giveaways. lol.

I saw a guy walking out with the blue 6', I bought 3 green ones and I thought maybe they threw the blue on sale but when I got there nope... I bet it was the same deal.

IMO Lowes handles BF really well, and it's the only place on BF I'll actually buy stuff from... great deals even though they don't really vary from year-to-year, and its not an absolute hassle there like some of the other big box stores.

One thing I noticed this year is there seems to be a LOT of leftover inventory at many places!

I swung by Lowes today (Saturday) and they still had the 2d and 3d Maglites on sale for $14.97 each. I picked up a few 3d's for gifts.

Can anyone tell me about Crescent Pro Series pliers? What about Sheffield vice grips?

Went to Sears yesterday and got a Crescent 2pc set of long and long-bent nose pliers for $25, a 4pc of Sheffield vice grips for $15, and a 3pc CMan pry bar set (US made) for $20 (50% off).

Also got a free 20'' CMan tool box for having spent over $50. Have no use for it right now, but free is free :)

I got two of them today, for orders I placed on Wednesday night. The Lowes website shows the $700 order I placed has still not been picked up... :)
