I see a bunch of great deals out there now, only thing I will be looking for is a new shop vac.

Just be VERY careful on BF. I bought a Rigid shop vac last year. It was a crazy good deal, but it was a "special" model that was only sold on BF. Basically, it was **** and they skimped on it. It was big, but had the smaller hoses. Really weird. Just watch out for any sku's that aren't normally sold.

Still no Lowes or Home Depot ads out yet. I'm surprised. I assume they'll be in the Sunday paper

I guess most sellers are holding tight this year and waiting to advertise there ********* Friday deals further down the week unlike last year.

Great thread.

I can only add that Amazon has $25 off for $100 on a lot of power tools but didn't see it working on any realistic deals.

Below could be a good comparison of deals from last year. Toolguyd.com posted early last year a lot of deals, interesting to see how they will compare to this year

Here is this years Black Friday postings:

Home Depot I know has made a big stink in past years with any site showing their ads before they authorize it and threatened lawsuits, etc. I wouldn't expect the HD ad until it is out Thursday in the papers. Not sure on Lowes. - Paul

Seems counter intuitive to me. I like to to take time and peruse the ads.

Yeah, me too. HD must think they will lose sales or something if people see the ad early, but I think the opposite is true. Gives people more time to see what is out there and decide where they want to go or what to buy. Without much time on Thanksgiving day itself for most people, I think HD is missing out. - Paul

I agree but they're not going for you types.

They're trying to bank on the total impulse types playing the game: Drain my wallet on Black Friday.

I take no part in it unless I've already done my homework on the item and know it's low priced, I'm like you I like to see it and think on it for a day or two but they probably don't want that because that leads to more frugal smarter shopping.

I will bet the discounts will not be as big as last year, but I hope I lose that bet.

All the stuff is out at my local HD, covered in black plastic.....

that would be nice, those are coming less and less, esp. without the $100.00 or $200.00 minimum limits.

Thats not going to be a problem for the order I have in mind. I didn't get the 30% off one day only ad last week until 9:15PM local time. I had already hit the rack, didn't get it until the next day:mad:

Looking at an X-Y table, 3 and 4 jaw 8" chucks another t-nut set. maybe a new milling vise. Keith

Ha ha! YES, I bet it is probably all out someplace in the stores by now getting ready. If I cared enough, I could probably see what will be sold, but won't know the selling prices yet!

Someone put up a Lowes BF ad - if that is their ad, doesn't look too good to me. What do you all think?

Menards had some good stuff but I think not as good as last years was.

I may come in less than $75 total on BF this year it is looking like! - Paul

the home depot ad is weak too. I've seen it and probably 80% of the tool prices are what they are today. Milwaukee blower going down to $49 and the 14pc hole saw kit to $39. couple dremels down to $49. nothing much else different

It is looking more and more like this black friday for tools and such isn't going to be that great from the big 3: Lowes, HD, Menards. There have to be some other good deals out there guys from other places. List them all here! Internet only deals (non brick and morter) are fine. - Paul

Sadly if the big boxes don't give deep discounts then the small stores won't either. I think everyone's holding out to see what the other stores do before they post their own ads. It will be a last minute rush to get ads out. There'll all hoping no one gives big discounts so they don't have to. If there's no big discounts on Black Friday then stores make big money because regardless of deals this year people will most likely spend on that day like pavlov's dog.

It's a bummer because there were some good deals last week and the week before that are now gone.

Keep an eye on toolguyd.com as he's been posting updated dailys on Black Friday deals.

I doubt that. Most places with BF stuff have had the inventory not only ordered but stored in the stores for at least a week or two by now, many for months. Ads are printed ahead of time, that's how they leak.

Lowes has this 3 piece crescent wrench set on sale, For $10.00
Just the 10" one is $10.00.
http://www.lowes.com/ProductDisplay...roductId=50029424&storeId=10151&storeId=10151
I picked it up today,
But I think I am going to take it back next time.
To me, it is sloppy, and cheaply made.

EDIT,
Taskforce I got from HD 15 + years ago is a much better made adjustable wrench.

Most of the large chains intentionally leak their ads early to build hype and get people to plan on spending in their stores, rather than wait until Wednesday or Thursday to put the ad out when a lot of people have already planned their shopping. I saw three tents already outside of Best Buy today.

25 foot extension cord. This will be 14.99 on black friday. As a contractor cant have enough of these:)

Was planning on picking up a few of these Friday, but just saw on their website that I could order them now. Seems like lots of the stores are letting their sales bleed over into other days. Supposedly, you can buy these any time thru the 30th. Anyways...ordered 3 @ 14.99 with free ship to store pickup.

is it Friday or Saturday?
Is the coupon out yet?

Friday...I think it's in the flyer...but I didn't get one in my paper today.
