I'm picking this jack up tomorrow. It's a Blackhawk, ad says it's 6 ton. Is this an S-4 and if so, it's rated for 4 tons, yes?

Did they make a 6 ton version?

Pics are from the ad. I'll add more after pickup. TIA!

OH BUDDY ! Looks like a good one, it's a keeper. All of them I've seen were red but I'm no expert. Let us know what kind of shape it's in, most of them are fairly loose, doesn't really hurt anything and it's probably 75 years old or more. Nice find !

Thanks, I can hardly wait to check it out! Hopefully it's mechanically OK, there can be some issues from other threads I've seen. I'm a little concerned the ad didn't show the handle but for the price I don't get to complain.

That is such a cool jack and if it has the little light (I can't tell) with all of the hardware then you scored big time!

Got it home this afternoon.

The good:
- It rolls around OK - not buttery smooth but not like pulling a cat into a vet's office.
- It raises and lowers easily, although it won't hold weight.
- No obvious mechanical issues

The bad:
- Grey paint over original red is flaking
- There's a housing for the light but a metal slug was welding in, also no switch gear in the handle
- Rear casters look, shall we say, after-market. They are welded on and while they are working ok, it's an ugly fix.

No name plate that I could see but not sure where it would be located - any help on where to look?

All this for the low, low price of...an hour's worth of gas to drive out and get it. It was advertised for $100 but once he found it didn't hold weight, said he was pulling the ad and scrapping it. I offered to take it, he said ok.
