Good timing as I'm going to need a something to cut multiple 3" holes in a car door's sheet metal, and I wasn't looking forward to fighting with a hole saw.

I found one here for $30+ shipping, which I thought was a steal, until I read the description to find it doesn't include the $30 arbor needed. if it works as well as you say, it will still be worth the ~$70 to make my life easier, but where did you get yours?

I got mine from Summit; they had the best pricing and had what I needed in stock.

I haven't used them on that thin of material, but maybe someone can chime in that has.

Thanks for this timely review.

 Hopefully they work out for you. I've been trying to write random reviews lately on products I like. Ultimately, tool reviews are what brought me to this board......that and having juvenile arguments in Free Parking. :spit: I don't blog or make youtube videos, so anything I post up is just out of personal interest to add to the forum.

I've used these cutters for cutting out spot welds on car parts for decades. They make it easy to do a door skin. Best thing since sliced bread.

I just gave mine a good test. I had a 3/8" steel plate that needed a 3/4" hole. So I set up the rotobroach in a bench mill and bored the hole. It worked great, with plenty of cutting oil it went through the plate like butter.

@Bigblue&Goldie worked perfectly! I had to make 16 7/16" holes in 1/4" plate today. It took about 20 minutes including cleanup. Probably the easiest part of this entire project.

I bought a 3" one to cut some lightening holes in my buddies E36 race car. I'm going to give it a try this weekend, and I'll let you know how it works out.

Just an update from me on this. As started in earlier post, I bought the 3" model and finally got to use it this weekend. I was using it to remove material on a pair of E36 car doors and it is a beast! It works at least 200 times better, and faster, than any regular hole saw. Well worth the $$$, and I highly recommend it!

Thanks for that review, saw them being used in a few Y/T vids. and they are now a must have for me. Are there any CDN deals out there??

They say they cut longer if you remove the mill scale first from HRS. And, are perfect for making slotted holes as per this one...
