"Blank" grommets and throttle cable modification

Two questions regarding work I am doing on a '68 Cutlass Supreme.

1. Do "blank" grommets exist? I am looking for grommets for existing holes in the firewall, some with wires/cables going through and some that don't. If I had an assortment of rubber grommet blanks I could drill the appropriate sized through-hole in each one to fit the individual needs/sizes of the cable passing through. Does something like this exist? I am trying to keep the openings in the firewall to a minimum.

2. Throttle cable modification - The throttle cable attaches to the accellerator pedal by means of a barrel-looking clamp on the wire itself. I want to move the location of this but am not familiar with wire clamps. What is the original style called, and is it possible to duplicate? If not, what is the most reliable clamp that I could use?

Thanks.

No, mostly because they sell grommets specific to stock holes, wires, etc... For example, there are multiple extra holes added to it through the years that there is no "original style" grommet made for. For example, there is a roughly 3/4" hole with oil pressure and temperature lines/cables running through it that has no stock equivalent. I am more looking for a kit that has plugs w/ the shoulders on like grommets so that I can drill the appropriate size through hole in to fit each individual situation.

Also, with regards to the accelerator clamp - I may have found something that will work:

I would just have to remove the stock unit that looks very similar to this (although I believe it is permanently affixed, not with a set screw).

For the cable you're on the right track, but you can search some motorcycle parts suppliers if you need additional sizes. For the 'grommet' search eBay for "rubber hole plugs", or Google the same for more distributors.

Thanks for the links Kevin, I found a kit on Amazon that had some of what I am looking for. Just having the right terminology helps.

Alternately, what do people use to seal up grommets with wires passing through? I am picturing something like caulk, RTV, or plumbers putty. Is there a way to do this without making a mess? Something like this:

I bought a cable stop at Advance Auto much like the one found above. It was in a collection of similar small cable doo-dads in the HELP aisle. Might save some time and a few bux on shipping.
