yeah i know ive been looking online n they were made from 1902 or something until the 70's by that company. i think the check valve is bad to i played around with it a little today it wouldnt build pressure i took it apart and oiled the pump seal lightly then it would build pressure really good but after u stop you can see the pump handle rising by itself any ideas on fixing the check valve?

Take the checkvalve part and post a picture of seal so I can see what kind it is.
There are a lot of different designs of check valves, and naturally there are different ways of fixing them all.

Brasso would work if you have a lot of time to spend, but this is my weapon of choice.

I generally just polish them up once, and then let them age to a nice even yellow.
But if you wan't to keep it looking like a mirror, you will wan't to spray it with a clear-coat.

Try to unscrew the small hex(?) shaped end.

It looks like there should be something like this in it.

Very nice!

Try tightening the packing nut down some where it's leaking.
If it still leaks, unscrew it and replace the graphite packing.
