Hello,
I must admit and say that I hate throwing away things. Yes, I can be a bit of a hoarder. With that said, I work at a BMW dealership and come across these strut spacers which are installed on most new cars from the factory. These spacers are removed during the QC1 inspection and thrown away, although I don't always do, therefore I've accumulated a bunch of them over the years.
Trying to come up with ways to repurpose them, I've decided to use them as hangers for garden/yard tools. They are plenty strong and clamp locked if needed.
I tried one yesterday with one of my rakes and it holds perfectly fine. I'm thinking of making a "swing away" arm to place on the corner of the shed where I can hang all/most of my tools and be able to clear some wall space in the shed.
If anyone can think of other uses, please post them. If anyone is interested in getting a few of these, please let me know. I'll be glad to gift them and all you gotta do is pay for shipping. (This I thought for BMW fans who would like to have a BMW part as a tool holder. These are sold by BMW if you ever wanted them and they are listed in the catalog.)
