Hi everyone, long time stalker, fist time poster. After watching and reading for quite some time, I am finally ready to finish my garage. It will be a working garage for a mechanic complete with hoist (I will make a build thread as well)
My question is right now, I have a good 2-3 feet of concrete from the floor up before the drywall starts in my garage. I was considering just knocking down the casting marks and parging it with a thin set cement. However there are points where the the wall either protrudes or falls behind the surface of the concrete wall.
I found some information today where some people had used a bonding agent and a skim coat of plaster. Has anyone done this? And do you just use drywall plaster or a specific kind?
