One time I accidentally added too much hardener. By the time I walked from the workbench to the car, it was already hard as a rock.
Is this an accusation of all the auto body work done in Southern California? If so you don't know a damn thing about the history of custom cars.Sez the guy from SoCal!
It's definitely a structural option I studied in college.Bondo over spray foam?![]()
Lighten up Francis, I'm pointing out that California cars don't get gaping rust holes in them from road salt. The State will fail your inspection because of a product they overuse. If a BS repair will keep a safe car on the road for a few more years, it's a WIN.Is this an accusation of all the auto body work done in Southern California? Real customs used lead.Is this an accusation of all the auto body work done in Southern California? If so you don't know a damn thing about the history of custom cars.
a can of Bondo to use as skim coat over some foam sealant that I used to patch a rust hole in a rocker panel of my van
This. If you're doing a ****** job, at least don't waste your time with bondo. You may as well dig out the foam sealant, then cover the hole with duct tape and spray bomb the tape to match the car...it will be just as good a repair.
“Real” customs in the 1950’s. They also brazed together sheet metal. Do you propose that's the only true way of doing custom work? The comment is ridiculous.Real customs used lead.
Go to Ryan's other site, The H.A.M.B., and you'll understand.“Real” customs in the 1950’s. They also brazed together sheet metal. Do you propose that's the only true way of doing custom work? The comment is ridiculous.
Geez man, take it easy. Getting awfully fired up about rust and spray foam.“Real” customs in the 1950’s. They also brazed together sheet metal. Do you propose that's the only true way of doing custom work? The comment is ridiculous.
Dan doesn't like it when people waste bondo.Geez man, take it easy. Getting awfully fired up about rust and spray foam.
Ahh, I don’t know man.We need OP to post some pictures.
Put it inside the pvc, cap the end and pressurize it. The bondo will flow through the system and find the cracks for you.I always remember to use the hardener in the Bondo when I am fixing my pvc air lines.
