JK. I have heard stories as well and that's a bunch of BS.


The dealer here is pretty good and is even know to still warranty and work on Jenny Craig trucks so I guess I'm taking that gamble. Maybe once I get a few other things done/fixed on the house and some of the financial load lightened I will do something preventative about it.

I was never much of a tuber myself, but loved driving the boat for others, especially when one offered that challenge!
An outside slide into a large wave usually had them rethinking that decision! hahaha

Front badge done and I am also repainting the mirrors. It's kind of hard to tell and there is some weird lighting going on between the sun and the ceiling LEDs, but the passenger side is done (white) and the driver side is still a very light gray. (It's actually implement paint, factory old Ford tractor gray). It was all I had at the time and I just wanted the chrome gone asap.

Things are shaping up, lotta cutting around here as we're experiencing a handful of dry days strung together. Need to get the hall bench done as shoes are lining up and getting anxious for their new home!

Of course I got "the look", but making the kids breakfast this morning I look over and had an "oh damn" moment. I told my wife I should have made the floating shelf a little bit thicker, added a piano hinge top side so you couldn't see it and had the cover trim flip up to reveal a hollow cavity..........shotgun storage! She asked why, and of course I said why not lol.

The neighbors are coming over and we got a try and get it all in the barn today as we have rain showing for the next 3 days. 😔

Windrows brings back a lot of hot sweaty memories:
Brother in law driving under hickory limbs trying to drag off bales, pulling off hickory nuts and pegged BIL in back of head. stopped that nonsense :)
filling neighbors barn with hay and while closing the barn door, the second floor joists broke and floor collapsed:oops:
Rack wagon with narrow running gear, met car on country road with high crown, pulled over the least we could do to let car by, rack tilted up and dumped 90% of the hay in the ditch :mad:
theft charges ... vet borrowed 3 of our rack wagons, vet loaned wagons to another farmer, farmer loaned to another farmer, that farmer sold hay at auction, auction house sold racks with hay. I spent half a morning finding our racks and when I found them, they were full of hay and I was not happy. I hooked all three racks to pickup and proceeded to unload all the hay on the ground. Three days later, the sheriff found me. Of course we didn't have titles to the racks and it took about 3 weeks to get charges dropped.

there's more but that's enough, hope you get put up before rain and it's drama free :)

In prep for this evening I got all the old leftover hay moved into the main barn to be used up first and the hay storage all cleaned out ready to fill! Just waiting on the neighbors to get home from work and then it's on.....

Hoping to get 200+ up and stacked away tonight.

That makes my back hurt and my arms need lotion to soothe them, but it's under roof before the rain. The image with the empty wagon is quite picturesque.

That is a nice picture, except for the full wagon sitting way back there still haunting me hahaha.

I'm definitely a bit sore this morning. But no time to rest. Rain is scheduled for noon today and I've still got 2 more wagons outside that need unload.

That's great! Our first cut was good too! It was very "fluffy", we had very tall windrows and had to stop to unclog the baler a few times. It was spitting them double time!

That old JD baler has done over a million bales and counting.

Yes now we need rain to kick start second round. Speaking of it's been raining all night here.
