I bought one of these about 6 months ago for around $50. It's tiny. It has a range of over 50-feet. It rules. And now, Bosch is selling the damned thing for $35. If you don...

If you don't have to pull your wallet out, it doesn't cost real money.Darn you, peer pressure! Amazon prime with one click buy is just way to easy. Mine is on its way.
I have been thinking about getting one but how accurate are they ? + or - .??
Having just become a real estate agent in the spring I have been wanting to get one of these. Now that its recommended by the boss...
Thank you, ordered! I like Bosch I bought their Bosch CLPK27-120 2-Tool Combo Kit (Drill/Driver and Impact Driver)first of the year, I really like the Impact it speeds up engine changes big time.I got one of these for my birthday 7 months ago, and I use it like crazy. I didn't know I wanted one, and I wouldn't have bought it myself (I would have been mistaken).
IIRC, mine is rated to 1/8" accuracy at 50'. Bear in mind, this is probably partially linear error and partially offset error. So it's hard to say what it would be at 25', but assuming the offset error is somewhat negligible, it may be around 1/16" at 25'.
I looked at the Bosch about a year ago when I was looking to buy a laser, and even then the $50 price made the Bosch very attractive. (At $35 - it's hard to beat)
I did end up spending quite a bit more and bought the Leica Disto E7100i ($150) It has quite a bit more range (200' versus 50') and better accuracy (1/16" versus 1/8")
The main selling point of the Leica for me me was the BlueTooth technology - it will automatically send the measurement to you an app on your cell phone or tablet and you can then place it directly into a sketch or a spreadsheet

Mine just arrived. That is a slick little gizzy. Excuse me, I need to go measure stuff.
Meaning to pick one up for a couple months now.Just bought one on ebay about 10 minutes ago. $26.95 w/ free shipping. My procrastination doesn't usually pay off but I guess I caught a break.
$12.50 to ship the thing - I'll wait. Or find it free ship. That's a rip.
I can see the usefulness of it if you are a contractor or need to quickly measure longer distances. But for the average home owner I'm not sure the +/- 1/8" accuracy is anything I would frequently use.
I wonder if the features of the GLM 30 is worth the extra $14 on ebay. Any feedback from those with the GLM 15?
Here's what they added to the GLM 15, in addition to it being a little larger:
The GLM 30 has a range of 100 ft and sports a new backlit LCD display. Additional measurement features include area/volume, indirect measurements, and plus/minus operations.
It's a long flight from Mexico.so about 33$ at the moment through amazon US with shipping ... Bosh is a German brand? it cost 60 euros in France ... that's 64$. I don't get it!
