A little more description on what isnt working would help. If its not powering up check the fuse holder I had to replace one on a mill at a shop I was working at when I was going thru trade school.

From what I recall its a DC drive on a circuit board.

At one point replacement boards were available but I think Minarik had a DC drive that would work in its place. I think its just a 90vdc drive.

This is just a google search I don't know them nor their products.

I have one in part or whole somewhere. Buying the new leadscrew with the extended shaft to interface with that is what held me back. A person can't just acquire that and bolt it on to a standard Bpt. The additional-length leadscrew must also be purchased/sourced/acquired unlike the ones currently available which are "bolt on kits".

I fully rebuilt a Servo brand unit this spring. Really simple to work on once you open them up so as long as you can get parts it’s a DIY project. Might be worth checking the limit switch. That’s more likely the cause of the issue then a bad board...

I've been kicking around the idea of just going to a Servo unit. It will be about $1k for a genuine Servo. I'm just not sure sinking a few hundred bucks into a 6F is worth it in the long run. 8F it would be a no brainer.

Matt, IIRC you can buy a leadscrew extension for a standard screw to use with your power feed?
If your screw is in good shape, that maybe the way to go?

Good stuff, Kevin. I was trying to research HQT to see the options but got stalled. I sort of gave up on the idea after I got the Fadal, its a much better milling machine. Just use the Bridgeport for squaring stuff up and drilling/tapping these days. Maybe time to "let it go" :bounce:
