A photo or find a local guy it is great rachet. Not sure why the metal did go all the way to the end of the handle.

I think most dealers will just hand you a new one.

Not going to happen. The comfort grip handle is technically considered a wear item by Snap on and if you wear it out, you are supposed to buy a new one.
I have never heard anyone say anything bad about Snap On's warranty. For a lot of people it is a major selling point.this was a 3/8" rachet and I mailed it back and snap on sent me a brand new rachet no questions asked. I was skeptical about snap on based on some of the stuff I have reach but I have found their direct warranty program is outstanding. I recently had an older rachet that the rebuild kit did not work and I mailed it back and they sent me the updated rachet. Great stuff!

Here are 2 more for you.
Just yesterday I texted my dealer that my FHX80A wouldn’t stay in the unlocked position anymore. He showed up at my house after his route and changed out the entire locking mechanism. Just one of the many reasons I’ll continue to buy from him.say what u want about snap on being over priced. But man do they honor that warranty. When I haven’t been able to get ahold of a driver I just call customer service. They send you a free label can you send it in and get a new one or repaired one back. Gearwrench is actually the exact same way. I’ve heard some complain about the GW warranty, Must’ve not called the same one 800 number I did. Sent me a free label and sent me a new tool.
Yes definitely, if it’s a tool with moving part, and it’s something u use all the time I would definitely purchase off a truck. I mean you buy some flex ratchets you may use those for 20-30 years or longer. Sound investment And if it breaks you can always get a new one. That’s y I got the Snappy ratcheting screwdriver, buy once cry once.Just yesterday I texted my dealer that my FHX80A wouldn’t stay in the unlocked position anymore.
