This is an old Craftsman ratchet, round head fine tooth, I believe. What are my options as far as fixing it? Can I even find the parts for it? If I warranty it, what are my chances of getting an equivalent quality ratchet?

only $6.45 at my local napa.
that a 3/8
Oops. I thought the OP's ratchet was 3/8" drive.
Here's the 1/2" kit. It shows $7.80 for me. So, it would be cheaper for me to order it at Napa than order it from Cripe.

Napa still carry the kits? I was looking for the kit once they did not carry them, due they did not carry the type of ratchets..

Options for fixing it have been well covered so far (NAPA, eBay, etc.).
If you're lucky, your local Sears might have some kits kicking around, it never hurts to ask or pick up a phone and call. They're discontinued, but they don't often break. When I went to have one repaired a couple years ago, they had a mountain of gut kits for these. You might luck out, free is better than paying for a kit.
You could also post up in the wanted section of the classifieds and see if someone has one up for grabs.
As to the chance of getting equal quality if you swap it for a newer ratchet? That's an easy one to answer: no chance at all. This was probably the finest ratchet Craftsman ever made. Do not take it to the store and swap it out, you're much better off trying to find a repair kit.![]()
Please do not warranty it. The Craftsman RHFT are fine ratchets and much better than anything Sears sells today. Get a rebuild kit and don't use a cheater with the ratchet again![]()
on THIS ^^^^I think I'm to blame for the cheater on the ratchet... OP is my brother, ratchet was our dad's and is now my brother's!
Well I'm in the same boat, mine is a round head Craftsman but not a FT any repair kits out there for these?
