I would go for the Flex. Absolutely!
I used to work with a makita and some other polishers, but the Flex is just the best. It is as already said about the low vibrations and the power. It will keep the revs regardless of what you do. And that helps first tremdendously with cutting speed ( I polish whole cars that were sanded with 2000 paper ) but it also lowers the danger of burning through while lifting, because it doesn't get faster.
