Build shop at same time as house?

I can't do the shop first. I could get a permit for both at the same time. I considered putting in the foundations and then the shell of the shop first for storage but that would mean framing inspection of the shop before the house and I don't think that will fly. It's house first or both together. I am leaning toward both together.

Well, since you have the choice of both or house first, I would do both.

build them both at the same time.....at the minimum get the building up and secure and you can finish the interior as you go along. You only live once!! :)

Put them both up at once. Use the same subs on both structures.
That way your siding, shingles, doors, windows, and trim will all be from the same manufacturers; color, batch, quality, installation method, etc...
Your property will look tied together rather than having two distinctly different build styles.
