Hello everyone. My name's Eddie and I've been reading through posts on here for a while. I just retired from the Army and it's finally time to plan and start my garage build. I have a good amount of space in the back yard so I want to build as big as possible. Being that I'm retired now the money is not what it use to be so I'll have to take it in phases.
I have a guy coming by tomorrow to let me know what I'm looking at to lay the foundation. I'm hoping I can go 40x80 but I have to figure out my actual property line to make sure I stay 25' away from it. The goal is to be able to at least have 4 garage doors and be able to park two cars front to back.
Here are a couple of pics. The first one is pointing towards the back of the property. It starts slopping down towards our pond which serves as our shooting range and we plan to start fishing in at some point. I plan to put a garage door on the backside so we can hang out in the garage while we shoot and stuff. The second pic is pointing toward the neighbors yard. The little trees in the middle are a make shift property line which I need to get a definite placement on.
Anyways, I'm excited. Let me know if you have any pointers or beginners mistakes to avoid.
