When you willfully do something wrong -- it not the same as being stupid. Many on this thread are not giving good advise.

You can get tank insurance on new inside, above and inside inspected tanks ... only a public system can insure the underground. It is no big deal -- but that's doing it correctly and getting it out. There are many situations where a weak tank turned into a problem because it was not done correctly.

I don't follow you about the disclosure. I stated plainly about willful undisclosure. When there's proven willful undisclosure the seller's insurance companies walk, end of story. I'll assume you didn't mean me about giving bad advice. :beer:

Leakage insurance is readily available for residential in ground tanks in NJ. I had it for over fifteen years and anyone I know who still has an inground tank does, too. :dunno:
