It's not Canadian but a lot of the necessities at Walmart are made in Canada. Plastic products like buckets, laundry baskets. Also some of the glassware and other store or non name brand products. The store might not be Canadian but that's supporting Canadian manufacturing more then buying Chinese products at Canadian Tire or other places.

Giant water heaters are made in Quebec. Their Cascade water heaters have been around for decades.

Two thumbs up for Cardon. We love those guys.

I've been in their store, there's always interesting stuff to see.

All that MiCan stuff can be bought at your local Home Hardware which is locally owned instead of Walmart,

I don’t think LTT has been mentioned. They offer ratcheting screwdrivers, bits, cable management accessories, etc.
BC-based IIRC.

Thanks! Added to the list.

Surprisingly, I learned Channellock has a line of truck accessories that are MiCan.

I wonder who the OEM is for Channelock? I was thinking they might be Backrack but the Backrack is considerably different. I guess you could add Backrack as well to the list https://www.backrack.com/

Also in that same genre, there is AliArc https://www.aliarc.com/pickup-bumpers/ and Herd https://herd.com/about-herd/ who make pickup and Semi truck Moose Bars.

I’ve purchased Ouellet baseboard heaters previously. Made in Quebec, good quality and they build other items as well.
Awesome! Thanks for the additions. I've inserted them all into the list.

I'm going to have to go through the list myself and check out some of these companies I've never heard of. Who knew, for example, Canada had 5 multi-bit screwdriver companies?

Autoline is another one. They rebuild carbs distributors and other parts and has been around for decades. Anyone who's into older cars has probably seen their red metal tag on a carburetor at some point, I saw one the other day I think it was in a vicegrip garage video. They're usually one of the options at part stores and even Rock Auto.

Upland Manufacturing near Winnipeg Manitoba https://uplandmfg.com/

Found this company by accident. A Facebook reel popped up advertising these side mounted full extension tool boxes. I have been toying with the idea of making my own with the new Miller spool gun. The company featured in the Facebook ad was American, and price for two was almost $8k USD, not including shipping, HST or tarrifs!!! Despite the price I was still very much in love. For several days I zoomed into every picture on the American website trying to figure out how to make the same thing. Thankfully one of the pictures revealed the Upland Manufacturing sticker which identified Manitoba when I zoomed in. The rest is history. As it turns out, the American company was a reseller. I called Mervin one of the owners and for less than $4k Canadian tax and shipping included they were at my door. This price though still steep, included keyed alike locks and full bed liner paint. Finishes include bare aluminum, powder coat or Line-X. They are stunning, built with amazing precision and most importantly a small Canadian business has been supported.

I have looked at all of the bed slides and other tool box configurations but never pulled the trigger because they compromised so much space permanently. These side mounts use the "wasted" wheel well space. I can't slide in a sheet of plywood, with only 44" between both boxes, but I am tickled pink with how they came out.

This manufacturer may have already been mentioned. Only reason I remembered was from another GJ thread.
Palliser furniture made in Winnipeg Manitoba.
Bought a new guitar strap a while ago from Levy's.

Both added to the list! Thanks.

I decided to split-off another manufacturing category so the list wouldn't be unworkably large. Tools and Garage stuff is at the top, then there's a tool and garage "adjacent" category for paddles, paint, furniture, furnaces, guitars and guns, etc...

No reason that stuff wouldn't be in your garage - and, garage-related or not, I'd much rather know about more Canadian Manufacturers - but I thought that was slightly tangential.

That sounds like a great idea. Thanks for managing this thread.

Noticed my Princess Auto Pro-point bandsaw blades say made in Canada.
Not sure why they also say imported? Imported to Winnipeg?
Cool! I hope that's just a standard tag PA adds (I've certainly seen it before) and someone just didn't think about how it applies to a Canadian product.

I’m watching the Food Channel and I need a snack. Chips. Old Dutch Chips.
Don’t know where it fits with your list.
Old Dutch potato chips are a Canadian company, with its headquarters in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and manufacturing facilities and distribution centers across Canada

If you like popcorn, I ordered from a great Canadian company, and it's Canadian popcorn, Uncle Bob's. Very good experience, reasonably priced.

I eat a lot of cheese. And not once do I remember seeing cheese made in Canada while shopping In the United States

When I was young every year, my mother would order a very large block of very, very sharp aged cheddar. We're talking like 20 lb of cheese. I believe that this crazy sharp age cheddar was Canadian and shipped to us from Canada.

I probably don't have a chance of finding it here in the middle of Ohio, but does anyone have a favorite Canadian cheese?

Baldersons. Great cheddars, various ages available. One of the bigger cheddar brands in Canada. Id imagine you could get it in the US at a cheesemonger. Costco carries a couple ages in larger formats here, not sure about the US.

Salerno Dairy out of Hamilton might export cheese to the states.

I used to have an old wood sailboat that I believe was built in Calgary it was called the Easy Go but that was likely was the original owner’s name. My first new boat was a fibreglass Peterborough which of course was made in Peterborough Ontario.
A distant memory but the odd one still floating around.
Boating season is coming soon here are a list of some boat builders.
Several well-known Canadian boat manufacturers include Legend Boats, Princecraft, and Campion Marine. Other notable Canadian boatbuilders include CS Yachts, KingFisher Boats, Bruce Peninsula Yachts, Calgan Marine, Limestone Boat Company, and A. F. Theriault & Son Ltd..

Legend Boats is a family-owned business that designs and manufactures aluminum fish/ski/cruise boats, deck boats, and pontoon boats, with a strong focus on Canadian-designed and built boats.

Princecraft, based in Quebec, is a major aluminum boat manufacturer with a significant presence in the US market.
Campion Marine, a builder in British Columbia, was a major manufacturer of sportboats and express boats, but is no longer in production.

CS Yachts, based in Brampton, Ontario, specialized in fiberglass sailboats.

KingFisher Boats, based in Vernon, British Columbia, offers a variety of lake, jet, coastal, and offshore boat models.

Bruce Peninsula Yachts, located in the Bruce Peninsula, is another Canadian boatbuilder.

Calgan Marine, based in Vancouver, BC, was founded by Al Nairne and built Cal boats.

Limestone Boat Company, headquartered in Ontario, has a distinctive hull and a series of models developed by Mark Ellis.

A. F. Theriault & Son Ltd., a family-owned shipyard in Atlantic Canada, has been building, repairing, and refitting vessels for over 80 years. A
