Buying a lift

So I want to get a scissor lift. One of those that only goes up enough for like brake jobs and tires. Anyone know a good place to order from??

I haven't seen them personally but lots of people like the Greg Smith Equipment lifts. I don't know what part of Indiana you are in but I believe they had a showroom in or near Indianapolis. You should call to be sure but it sounds like they have most of their products set up there. You might be able to see one or even try it before buying one. I've seen quote a number of units being sold used, too. Not sure what that means. Just about all the big lift companies sell them. I believe even Snap On still does, but I wouldn't go there unless you want to pay extra for the name.

I've just found my solution to the what lift to put in my normal two car with low ceilings that I still need to park in everyday question.

The main advantage over the bendpak mentioned above and many other scissor lifts is the open center. This is a must for me as my wife's Audi needs a new torque converter and I'm justifying the cost by saving $2500 at the dealership.

Does anyone have any experiences with the lift that JCByrd24 posted??

I am looking the same Atlas 6600 MRLX Mid-Rise Scissor lift, nice open center, and you can drive over it and dont worry about it.

Of course, I would much rather have the MaxJax, but I dont have the minimum thickness it requires for the garage floor.

How bout this one. Just drive to Florida, take a vaction, and bring back your new (used) lift. I'll even throw in some free beer. (I've got a Kegerator with cold Yuengling, and some frosted mugs.)
