I would like to replace all the handles on my snap on ratchets so they all match. I would like to get either red, orange, black or pearl blue. I would need 2 for 3/8 and one in 1/4. I like the soft grips but like the hard handles better. Does anyone have any? I don't care about condition that much. Thanks

some are available directly from snap-on. here is the 3/8th, as an example:

https://store.snapon.com/PARTS-3-8-Drive-Soft-Grip-Replacement-Handle-P667094.aspx

12.90$. the part number, FH936-12, implies that it is a part that fits a lot more tools than the description implies:

"Use for 3/8" drive Dual 80® Technology soft grip ratchets"

this is the search i used:

https://store.snapon.com/SearchResu...s&IsPartsSearch=0&departmentName=Tool Catalog

i bet if you want specific ones, a call can get them specified in no time. all the people who answer the phone there are pleasant and helpful.

snap-on has some really reasonable prices for a lot of stuff. as an example, all those repair kits that are on ebay for 15$, are available directly from snapon for 10$, with free shipping. that tool for hold the bearing while doing the repair is only 0.89$ (i just ordered one, but can't remember the part number.)

The soft grip handles listed above are definitely cheaper than the hard handles. The hard handles are available though and the 3/8 are available in an even wider array of colors because SO just released 2 new hard handled flex head ratchets at their convention and they were available in 9 colors.

THD72-12 1/4" Replacement Handle
FHD80-12 3/8" Replacement Handle

4 colors currently available to order on SO site in 1/4" and 6 in 3/8". Probably more availability from dealer with a little pull.

To convert a soft grip to a hard handle I believe sometimes it might require a bit of a mod, or so I've read...

It's not hard to convert them but sometimes you have to cut the shank of the ratchet. The soft grips are longer than the hard handles. When you take the soft off you may have to cut an inch off the end of the shank. Here's a couple 80 series I did.

In any case, it can be done. Here's few useful threads (if you search there are lots more)

^ a few posts in that thread show examples of replacing soft grips with hard handles

Fyi u can order hard handle snap on ratchets off the website

^ the 8th post on that recent thread discusses how to order hard handles in various colors - though I believe only in 1/4 and 3/8. It says they are unaware of any 1/2 hard handles currently available.

^ new soft grips are available in all sizes. I just got new 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2 red soft grip handles for mine. Since that post in 2011 they've pretty much doubled in price though.
