I wouldn’t say that. Don’t forget to consider the mass of the sockets used. You have two impact guns rated at similar torque outpost, one a higher rpm with lighter hammers, and a slower one with heavier hammers. The relationship between the mass of the hammer against the mass of the anvil, socket, etc, plays a bigger role than you think. With a big heavy socket, the 1/2” rated at a similar “torque” is going to have higher losses than a 3/4 that turns slower with bigger hammers. The end result is that the 3/4 will be more effective despite being rated the same as a 1/2”. Torque ratings on impacts really are a meaningless measurement...if you can even call it that. There are so many factors that change the overall tension of fasteners when using impacts. Soft vs hard pull up joints, mass of the socket, mass of the nut or bolt, etc... torque ratings are a starting point for comparisons, but there is more to it than just the advertised torque.
