$32 in-store now. I have 2 and love them. Motion sensor activation is convenient, but also includes a remote with wall-mount for traditional on/off use.

$59.99 - Not the absolute cheapest it's been, but close ($49.99 at one point).
I've had this set for a few years and it works well. One upside and downside is that it holds the socket quite securely, but this may wear to a comfortable medium as the ratchet is used more. Reasonably slim head as well which has come in handy a few times, and the action of the actual ratchet is nice to use.

My local HomeDepot is clearing out some Milwaukee and Dewalt tools. Since this is the time of year that HD updates inventory, your local store might be doing so too. There are some SAE ratcheting wrench sets - unfortunately I don’t have that 1968 Chevelle or Beaumont that I always wanted to justify buying a set in front of the wife. And right now I’m thinking that maybe I should buy the wrenches and then use them as a justification to buy the car. The Milwaukee 1/4 socket set is interesting. The Dewalt 1/2 drive impact extension set is priced right. There are also some random Husky wrenches that sell for 5-10 bucks, the 11/32 being one dollar only. And at this price it makes a great paperweight. Also some Husky12-point sockets are a buck each.

And here is follow up: a luke warm deal from my local HD again: Ridgid 1/2 subcompact impact wrench for $75. I think during the free battery + charger promotion periods, the tool itself is roughly this price. The compact size is probably handy for taking down caliper bolts on a sedan.

I decided to order this Wuben X-0 flashlight today - thought I would post here in case another else is looking for a compact high CRI light. Seems like a good, but not show-stopping price at ~$50.
800 lumens, 90 CRI (NICHIA 519A), flood pattern, 5000K color temp, with USB-C charging, magnetic tail cap and a right-angle design.
Looks a bit chunky for pocket-carry to me, but that's not what I do with my flashlights.
If you just want a BRIGHT and compact EDC light for less money, check out the Acebeam Pokelit in gray. It's $60, but with a $25 coupon = $35. That's pretty reasonable for the 1000 lumen peak spec, but I prefer a warmer color temperature.

Does anyone have the lifting beam that PA currently has on sale? Obviously not a lift, but is it better than using a jack on its own?
I don't have that specific one, but I do have a Bendpak RJ-45 for my 4-post lift. I rarely use the extending arms - the car needs to be perfectly centered to reach both side jack points, and even then barely reach on some cars. So I'd check the full extension width on the PA one at least, and then also check if you have the ground clearance to roll the jack with that on it into place. So now I just lift from the center rear/front lift points that every car should have. I was using hockey pucks to avoid metal on metal contact and reduce slipping, but later got a deal on the "specialty adapter kit" for a little more peace of mind when reefing on things:

YMMV in Ontario - I just bought one of these Craftsman 26 x 12 top chests for $199 down from $334 from the Rona in Maple. Of the few I could find to fit between my existing 22" top and 26" bottom chests, it seemed to have the best capacity for the price. I realize this is a top box, but hoping the lid is strong enough to support the weight of my small/cheap 22" 4-drawer top, or I'll fill it with something to brace it.

Costco Mississauga (Dixie) has these stools on sale (I believe .97 prices are clearance). Still shows full price ($130) online, but they were $30 off during December:

Yeah, looks good and I've heard the same feedback from others. As much as I want one for the deep drawer to hold my impact, the last thing I need is a 4th stool. I already have a basic height adjustable round stool and two different fixed-height rectangular "stool chests":

For the clamping capacity they have, the jaws are just plain less awkward than the conventional ones. And if there are two things we all need more of, it is clamps. And Vise Grips. And clamps…

That's a good question, seems like a big step up in quality over their normal range.
Looking online their product selection is very limited and none of the descriptions actually say "Makita" in the product name. Are they selling cheap knock offs?
They might be selling refurbished tools - they've done that before.
Princess Auto often won't list a tool's brand on the website. I suspect that's because they aren't a recognized dealer for those items. Instead they might have bought some overstock from another retailer, factory seconds, refurbs, etc.
If they aren't an official retain channel for those products, they're probably not allowed to advertise them with a brand name and you might not be entitled to a factory warranty. That doesn't really matter to me though, since Princess Auto will warranty tools anyway.

More manufacturers are coming out with Minimum Advertised price rules and not showing the brand could fit with this....but I am just guessing on this.
With PA dropping Pro Point rachets, adding some more marginal brands and fishing stuff, I 'd say they deserve a rant.
