Finally made it into Rona…..got to go back today and see how much if any of thier blowout socket stock matches my needed list.

Twin Grips $36.80: https://www.amazon.ca/KNIPEX-82-01-200-TwinGrip/dp/B097C98LCT/
My embedded links aren't working. Limited time deal.
redeem CT Money on Friday or Saturday, and you get 20% back in more CT money
Although I guess I don’t need to spend it on TwinGrips now… (and thank-you for that JradM)
I don’t know if CTC matches Amazon, but in this case they aren’t the exact same item (200mm vs 250mm).Will CT price match amazon?
Just curious if you could get the PM and the CT money back.
My Canadian Tire store won't price match anything. I wonder if that's a corporate policy though, or just a grumpy store owner.I don’t know if CTC matches Amazon, but in this case they aren’t the exact same item (200mm vs 250mm).

I'm not asking for them to beat a competitor like Home Depot does, but when I can just buy the same thing elsewhere for less...

Thanks! That’s very helpfulI have. No complaints. Can't remember the mfr date code but they weren't old/sitting in a warehouse too long.
Any of my Canadian friends used PMC tire to buy tires online?
In the past I’ve used tire rack and shipped to a drop in the US but with the exchange these days the cost savings is minimal.
PMC has the best price and the tires I want are in stock.

Pinto!First time I have looked anywhere for 13" tires for my Pinto. And they had a bunch, both winter and summer. I was expecting none.
That ***** but I’m not surprised. The last few times I was there the store was empty of customers. This isn't deal-related (or is it?). Peavey Mart is shutting down.
I'm disappointed by that. I like Peavey and they have some tool options that are hard to source elsewhere (like Montezuma tool boxes or welding gas). It was nice to have somewhere to grab v-belts, in any size I needed, or specialty pins, fasteners and components for my tractor
Probably be some "clearance" sales soon, so I guess this news is deal-adjacent.
I want to say "Linde" was Peavy's supplier, you could probably go there. KMS refills too, and I don't think they care whose tank you bring in.That ***** but I’m not surprised. The last few times I was there the store was empty of customers.
I’ll have to stop in and check for any deals.
What should I do with my welding gas tank now??
Damn that *****. PM only arrived here in NS a few years ago. It was a good storeThis isn't deal-related (or is it?). Peavey Mart is shutting down.

When TSC opened here it was a pretty good store. Once it changed to Peavy it went downhill.
I went in to Tractor Supply in Niagara Falls NY about a month ago and it was amazing. Dramatically better than Peavy.
Can't say I'll miss TSC/Peavy, as they were always out of the way for me. Did stop at the Woodstock (ON) location occasionally as it was easy to pull in on the way to somewhere else. Always stopped there to look around as I lived there so long ago.
Think the next one in trouble is RONA.
Just judging by the two Ronas by me, no customers and no staff in the stores, mid-week. Stay tuned.I'll echo the things going downhill after Peavey took over. Their inventory in stores was very hit or miss, and you had to go to the store to find something because their website was awful. I am dissapointed that they are leaving though, they had some things that are hard to find in other stores. Cattle panels and banjo plumbing fittings come to mind.
I really wish the TSC/Peavey stores here could be like Tractor Supply in the states, I've heard nothing but good about them.
But in keeping with the thread, sounds like there should be some deals to be had as they close up the stores.
Rona better not be going anywhere. I have 3 of the Moffat and Powwel/Rona stores within 15 minutes of me, they are my go to source for building supplies.
