Car lift recommendations?

Been looking at lifts lately and trying to decide on a brand is stalling me. I'm looking at 2 post lifts, and I must have a clear floor so the overhead stabilizer bar is required. I have 12' ceilings so that is sort of hurting me since a lot of the lifts are rated at 145".......12'-1" Bendpak is out since they offer nothing with a clear floor that will fit under 144".

I see a lot of recommendations for Rotary, so I called them this afternoon and they actually said they sell Revolution Lifts (http://www.revolutionlift.com/default.aspx). For those who recommended Rotary, do you have an actual Rotary lift or a Revolution lift?

I have a Rotary lift. Build date of 99'. Sat outside disassembled for about 3 years. Little elbow grease and she has worked perfectly since. I would look into nothing the roof to make the lift work.

Sorry this thread does not get your approval. The more I go through life the more I realize that people named Richard were given that name for a good reason.

The Mohawk A7 will fit with a lower ceiling - they can make the overhead lines at whatever height you tell them. It is pricey, but American made and solid.

I've got the Revolution lift. Had it installed by professionals a little over a year ago. No issues to date. Biggest vehicle I lift is my Silverado 1500 crew cab. Couple pic's of the install here http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2382298#post2382298

I've got a Rotary brand, actual Rotary. My ceilings are 12' from concrete to rafters and it fits just fine. It's a SPOA9. Love my lift. It's worked flawlessly.

I have run a shop for the last 11 years( http://www.cfsautoandtire.com/ ) and initially put in a symmetric 2 post and this makes it difficult to get in and out the doors. I highly recommend getting an Asymmectric Lift no matter the extra cost. I used Eagle Lift and had no problems with either lift but like you said, most of them are 14.5 tall.

I know it would be like really close but the Challenger E10 is 11' 11 7/8", loving mine at the moment.

I have the sister lift to this one, the Ammco CV10 series. They are a great 2 in 1 lift as they can lift vehicles in the symmetrical and asymmetrical configuration due to the arm design. Works great on everything from a small compact car to my four-door 3/4 ton Duramax pickup truck.

all car lifts are good, even some of the china made, its going be how much money do you want to spend. the rotary, mohawks are the elite but you going pay for them. bendpak, challengers and others are good price. once you understand the design of the steel, it doesnt take much to hold a car up. most of the design will be in the footprint of the post. 10,000 lbs is nothing for hydraulics. so footprint, safety device, swing arms. that basically it.

I have notice all the pumps and motors are from the same people, stone mfg.
