Anyone know a good place to buy/order carriage doors from???

Looking for a set of two 4' x 80" carriage doors for the front of our small cidery.

We have a log home in the Pacific Northwest so we were looking for some nice looking wooden carriage doors that would go well with the house. . .I'm attaching a photo. We would be replacing the small door and the window on the left and leaving the window on the right. A little asymmetrical, but there is a cold room on the other side of the window on the right so the carriage doors can't be centered and be functional.

Thanks for the help!!!

Thanks guys. . .I thought about making them myself, but every time I have made a door from scratch they turn out RIDICULOUSLY heavy and then they end up sagging on the hinges over time and not shutting properly. Not a huge deal when they are barn/shed doors for the farm, but still annoying.

I'm gonna check the link out.

I built mine 5 years ago, and they haven't warped nor do they sag. The hinge rating is way overkill, and I built them the way I did (plywood cores), because I built a pair of rolling barn doors this way in '99, and they have stayed intact the same way (although to be fair, they are suspended from a track, so the stresses are different). Not saying you should DIY necessarily, but there are ways to overcome your very valid objections. I think hinge choice is one of the most important factors, btw.

Thanks for the link Dunerash. . .especially since I'm located on the Kitsap Pennisula!!!

Thanks for pointing out your construction method Thruxton; I was planning on making a rolling barn door for one of goat sheds and one of our chicken coops soon. . .timely information and I agree about the hinges. I made a door for a local brewery out of 3"T x 8" W x 8' H oak planks with 1/4" steel flat stock between each plank and for the all around outer frame. . .all held together with 1/2"-13 Grade 8 all thread evenly spaced the height of the door to keep it all squished together and prevent any air leaking in/out of the brewery depending on the season. . .door weighed close to 600 pounds and I hade to pick out some BEEFY hinges to support all that weight. . .only successful door/hinge combo I have made. . .been up for two years without any problems (knock on wood!!!).
