Carter Carburetor Technician Tool Set

Did a search for a thread dedicated to Carter carburetor tools, but didn't see one.

These tool sets are from the 30'-50's and belonged to my grandfather who owned a tune-up shop back in the day. I believe the box in the top of photo two is a "Junior Technician" set and the box on the right side of same photo is a "Master Technician" set. I'm not sure about the bottom box in that photo but it looks very similar to the other Carter boxes (there are no markings on it). My grandfather worked on many other carburetors, so not everything in these boxes are for Carter. There are a few items that are stamped Rochester and I'm sure there are items for other carburetors built during the 60's-80's. I also have a **** load of spare internal carburetor parts (likely from rebuild kits) that he kept on hand and a large repair and parts manual from Carter from the same era.

Carter stuff shows up here and there in different threads, but no, you're right, for whatever reason, we don't have an old single thread dedicated solely to Carter. That OD green kit is HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER by WWII collectors, btw. Not that I'm asking, or that you're looking to sell. Just sayin'. Not super rare. Not super common, either.

Here's a little two-drawer Carter chest I found earlier this year. The kit on top is KMO.

My huge Carter stash. I had previously chatted with Lugz about starting a thread, thanks for taking the initiative that I lacked.

The other side is a little cleaner. Carter T109-51, with a 17 before, and a C after the number string. And the usual Carter buried inside Carburetor text

Picked up this kit on Friday, which came surprisingly complete, though far from everything Carter sold. I assume it's the Master Technician Set, based on the size of the box (14 ¼ x 7 ½ x 3 ½, note mine is 1" wider than listed on the CarburetorShop site). I would have been happy to come up with any of the Carter tool kits, but the large one with the 1938-1950 logo decal sure beat auction site prices. It also had some Mac and Plvmb small tools mixed in, not pictured here.

I have a component listing of what's in there, if anyone is looking for trades.

Carter parts box of unknown vintage. The vertical sign is hinged, and has decals on both sides. The large drawer also has a decal. I wish I could make the graphics pop a lot more, but they remain pretty dingy after a careful cleaning. Box is 16" wide by 5 1/4" high (not incl. sign) by 11 1/2" deep.

^Beautiful cabinet. Love the graphics! Mine came out of an old machine shop. It was used to store nuts/bolts/doo-dads, and it was impossible discern that it was actually a Carter chest until I removed the items piled on top. Was definitely a nice surprise.
