Learned today that people are cutting cast iron pans into spatulas.
For true. For fifty years, I've been using several sizes of Dexter offset and straight spatulas. Just used the large offset 8" x 3" S8698 this morning to turn pancakes.I would think it would be too heavy to want to use regularly, but I'd have to use one to know if I liked it or not as well. Personally, I like pretty thin blades on for the grill/griddle, mine are made by Dexter, nice thin blades but still fairly stiff.

How would that be any different then the original pan?Chromium finished?
Do I want that in my cooking tools?
Do we want that on our pans? How would that be any different then the original pan?
Didn't know it was a thing, had to look it up as I've never seen one.Do we want that on our pans?
Too late for me. I've been using a chrome plated Griswold #7 for fifty years now. So far, so good.or the food reacts unfavorably to the chromium.
They do it on broken pans so they get something out of them verses just scrapMe too.
Why exactly?
