Gorgeous garage. And this is the main reason I opted out of free flow tiles. The mess that gets through is crazy. So, this weekend I finally pulled off the "Rick approved" Racedeck cleaning technique. Man that was a pretty big job! I don't know how he does it so often! Thankfully my 10 year old loves running the pressure washer.
I was amazed at all the junk that had accumulated underneath. It was so nice to blow it all out, pressure wash the floors and racedeck and put it all back in. It all looks so good now and I'm glad I did it. It has been around 3 years since I put the floor in so I'm really happy with how it has looked so far. Having it freshly cleaned is really nice.
I wanted to get this done since I ordered a four post lift that's coming around December and wanted the floors looking good before it is set in place.

My goodness but you're living the dream! And your work is inspirational (if I had the energy, age, time and $![]()
).
But, as a Ford man - I'd do it in blue. Just sayin'. . . . . .![]()

Holy ****. I can't imagine trying to put the floor out
Looking for opinions on where to put the lift. I have been planning to put it on the far left and park the camaro on it. I'm doing the Bendpak HD7w which would give me room to work on the left side of it near the wall since it is a short and fairly narrow lift. I've also thought about putting it in the center stall purely for a more symmetrical look when all the doors are open. I guess it would be easier to work on both sides of a car too. Long term is to have two single lifts on on the double door side but until then what would you do?
Reason I'm doing lifts is mostly for extra car capacity but I'm also planning on doing big work to the camaro (6 speed ******, suspension work, etc.)
Me personally, I'd put it where the 1 car door is. That way you make the most of your room where the 2 car door is.
You will like having both doors higher like that. I have a lift behind my single door but had the high rise door tracks put on the double door as well. It makes the garage feel huge with both doors up near the ceiling. Enjoy the lift, hopefully it will arrive soon!
Brakes are incredible. I have the track pack which includes the brembos and 2 piece slotted rotors. Plenty of power and seem very predictable.
I think if I was tracking the car a lot ceramic would be good but for playing on the street I'm very happy.
Dude I can't wait to see your new garage come together. That is going to be such a huge space. I like how it seems pretty normal from the front but open the doors and boom! You could get all kinds of stuff in there.

Looks great. I've read this several times and it's great each time.
The lift, I would put it in the middle. I only have a two car and the wall is a pita. Not the end of the world. If I had a 3 car, I'd put it in the middle bay. Much each all around and gives plenty of room for the two other bays.
I am digging the high lift doors and color combo....of course these are the some of the colors I can actually see being colorblind to blues and greens..! Just stole....uh.... I mean saved saved that photo to my ideas for the interior!

Thanks!The doors look great!
crazy enough, it would be opposite for me. I had a dedicated, caged BMW M3 race car, and instruct with a lot of groups. The guys who have carbon ceramics want basic brakes on their race car/track cars because they are SOOO expensive to replace all the time when they are abused. Lots of Porsche guys buy the cheaper 2 piece iron rotors because the ceramics are just too expensive.
You dont go through brakes nearly as often on the street, so its more reasonable to have the carbon ceramics there.
Just finished binging the entire thread. Looks amazing![]()
Wow look at this old cluttered pic of overhead mess going on. Fun to read my own thread from the beginning and see all the steps along the way.
