Challenging gutter install

I'm having trouble finding a solution to install a gutter along the eve of my covered porch. The fascia is good 3-4" behind the edge of the roofing material. A traditional bracket will put the gutter almost completely below the eve. Some sort of a standoff seems easy, but I'm afraid of the torque involved when the gutter is holding 6" of wet, heavy snow. I don't particularly want to fur out the entire length of building unless absolutely necessary.

I would think a treated 2x4 furring board is going to be the easiest solution. That will put the edge of the roof at the center of a 5” gutter if the overhang is 4”.

I am wondering why it would have been built that way. Someone is anti-gutter?

Guessing it had crown molding at one time

I had gutters in my house from 20 years ago that used the brackets above. They were aluminum. Very sturdy in one direction which is all they need

Not crown, Bedmold.

Bedmold is supporting moulding.

Roof is metal... added as a remodel. The new
metal just about doubles the overhang.
Now we know why it is that way. I suspect there is no drip edge molding correct? So the longer metal overhang forms it's own drip edge. It doesn't seem like a common wider gutter (6 inch) would do you much good so I think a spacer board is the best solution. Treated (w/ solid color stain) or plastic. I'd prefer the plastic but usually it is more expensive. But if white works, and current treated wood prices + stain costs, may make plastic wood the solution.
