I humbly submit for your perusal and consideration an industrial Champion dual pump compressor from the 80's that I have just acquired.
It runs and pumps up to pressure, but once it shuts off it blows off from the release valve fitting on the front of the pump. This is on the "Cover, Governor Housing" according to the schematics I have. I pulled the cap, spring and ball on the "Release Valve" and found nothing enlightening.
On the other pump the same thing is happening, but because the release valve is attached to a UFO looking thing that apparently controls automatic draining, the air blows out though the gap in the two sides of the UFO looking thing.
Anyone here familiar with these R15 pumps who could guide me in fixing it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. See the pics below for translation from dioese to English. Thanks.
