I'd like to shorten my HF 44" Roll Cab and Chest. I also don't care for the casters that came with the chest. Are there shorter/better casters that will bolt on and roll and lock?

Moving into a new tool box is a tough project. Almost wish I'd have stuck with my Craftsman and not started getting organized. Is there a thread already with what people have done with the HF 44" setup as far as organization and mods?

If you don't roll it much or have smoother floors then will be okay with quality smaller diameter casters . good ones are quite expensive .
Is a few mod threads and youtube vids on 44" boxes, have a look at general organisation thread on here as got good ideas ...

How much do you want to lower it?
How much will you be moving it?

Just select the casters based on height and load rating

I wish it had the red casters the 56" has wonder if HF sells replacements for it I know they fit. There's a YouTube video of a guy that bought casters of the web and they bolted right on and were red but larger in size which I want as I 6'5.
